molson_golden2002
Quote of the day from Dick Morris: But don't write Obama off. His candidacy strikes such enthusiasm among young and minority voters that there is still a chance that a massive turnout will deliver the race to the Democrats. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/...eak_for_mc.html I'll try and not count him out of this race just yet

In-A-Gadda-Levitre
Wasn't Dick Morris part of the Clinton Administration? Are they STILL that bitter about losing the primary? yeah, the same guy and he's a regular on Fox News with a surprisingly very far right commentary. I never understood that. in this article you'd think he'd never heard of the electoral college...
ieatcrayonz
Quote of the day from Dick Morris: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/...eak_for_mc.html I'll try and not count him out of this race just yet As Obama has oscillated, moving somewhat above or somewhat below 50 percent in all the October polls, his election likely hangs in the balance. If he falls short of 50 percent in these circumstances, a majority of the voters can be said to have rejected him. Likely a disproportionate number of the undecideds will vote for McCain. But don't write Obama off. His candidacy strikes such enthusiasm among young and minority voters that there is still a chance that a massive turnout will deliver the race to the Democrats. Morris writes like a politician. If you read the quote above, which has more context than the partial quote you orignally provided, Morris can be seen as saying Obama is racing against 50%, not McCain. Morris can use this as set up for more articles in the future, if McCain wins, if Obama wins with less than 50%, or if Obama wins with more than 50%. No matter what happens, Morris wins. I know this stuff can be complicated, so if you need help reading in the future, just let me know.
IDBillzFan
Wasn't Dick Morris part of the Clinton Administration? Are they STILL that bitter about losing the primary? Dick Morris has been on a tear against the left. Not sure why, but he absolutely hates the Clintons - especially Shrillary -- and in general suddenly hates the left. But it's good for the left that he defected because he's kind of like target practice for the left, who typically ignore the message and spend all their holier-than-thou time making fun of the messenger. Perhaps he's been too busy frequenting prostitutes to follow the election. Case in point.

Although Morris worked for Clinton he was always a Republican so he didn't really defect from the Democrats.

With apologies to the candidates, Morris may be the most intriguing character in this campaign. And what's astonishing about him is that he sits at the right hand of a President who cannot quite trust him. He's a Democrat turned Republican turned Democrat again, a longtime Clinton adviser who for two years traveled the country telling Republicans that in 1996 Clinton would be defeated--if not indicted. Which begs a question: How did such a rogue become the most influential private citizen in America? Apology accepted.
