bills_fan_in_raleigh
I love the comment " thats not Christianity that I believe in, thats not the Christianity of the bible", these are the sorts of folks that scare the heck out of me. Just like folks find and edit video and audio on you tube many faiths only teach certain aspects of what is contained in the bible.

My favorite part is when she cites his "Muslim background" due to the father that left when he was 2. What do these uber Christians think is going to happen if they elect the "less Christian" candidate? He's going to burn down all the churches? We separate church from state here in America, so it's not like any pro-Christian legislation is going to be passed either way? Why do these people see it as an issue? DC Tom
Doesn't seem that bad to me. Of course, I know a few people like that, so I'm probably used to that nonsense by now. People like this make me wonder if we won't actually see Nehemiah Scudder in the White House in 2012 after all. Fortunately, since maybe three of those fringe Holy Roller !@#$s have actually read the Bible, they're fun and easy to mess with. My personal favorite is pointing out that Jesus advocated cannibalism (because really, how else can you interpret "Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body."). But it's also fun to point out that Jesus was a Jew. Either one's guaranteed to send them into a frothing frenzy.

I love to tell them that Jesus probably looked more like Osama bin Laden than Michael Bolton...it just makes their heads EXPLODE. And my second-favorite thing is my "Jesus was a Liberal" bumper sticker.

Limbaugh cracked me up this PM claiming that Obama born of virgin birth was the real teacher of Ayers and Wright. That he was the one who taught them their socialistic anti-constitution views. The last thing the limbaughs and hannities and other of the far right want are educated people since ignorance is better to spew the hate.
DC Tom
Now is that even a challenge? Good for some easy laughs on a Monday morning, but c'mon, its barely sporting. Well...instead, you could always argue abortion rights with them, then roll out the quote from Psalms 137:9: "Happy shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy children against the stones." Cheap laughs, yes...but it's !@#$ing amazing how few people who advocate a literal interpretation of the Bible have actually read it. Out of all the times I've used that line from Psalms, only two people have ever so much as understood it.

Johnny Coli
I'm looking at the electoral vote projection maps, and you'd actually have to go out of your way to fly across the country over solid McCain states. There's a small corridor where you'd have to fly over South Dakota or Nebraska, Wyoming, and Idaho or Utah. South Dakota is now single digits, so that Red State flyover thing is getting squeezed even more. If you wanted to maximize your Red State flyover from taking off in the Northeast, you'd have to aim the plane over Kentucky and Tenn, go South through Ark and Oak, North to Kansas to bank around Missouri, then continue straight North to the aformentioned Nebraska. Not quite a flyover I guess.

DC Tom
Did he do this in his bus, while it was slowing down (braking)???? That's an archiac form of "broke". But of course you didn't know that, why would your Old English be any better than your modern English? It's also a direct quote from the King James...so don't blame me, blame your church. I said Jesus probably looked small in stature, had dark skin, and wirey hair. And I was almost killed! My sister questioned her about woman on the alter one time and she called her the Grandma!
