You don't worry about gaining an extra two inches when you know extending the football is vulnerable to being a fumble. He's got to be smarter than that.

Whne you're prone to the ground, yes they will call you down, but when you're standing up, legs moving and pushing the ball out in front, DUMB. It works at the goal line since once you cross the goal line, they play is over, but anywhere else it's a live ball.

There's plenty of time for 2 possessions if they run the 2 minute drill once they get some breathing room. 8 minutes is a lot of time but there can't be any more mistakes and they've been making a lot.
