The AFC Offensive player of the week is

Recommended Posts

Well, Bruschi got player of the week once because he got stampeded on a long run and had maybe 2 tackles.

haha. what was that one stat they kind of 'invented' the week bruschi came back? like 'hits' or 'almost tackles' or something like that?

If he went 5-5, for 25 yards, that would be 100% completion rate. Would that be good enough to win Offensive Player of the Week?

I don't think anyone is questioning that he had a very good day, or that his completion % wasn't high enough. It's just that, his performance (and stats), overall, aren't the stuff of the typical OP of the Week.

Well they must of used the 3 td's passing on a terrible defense as a important figure.

Your boy Troy didn't "win" the award so get over yourselves.

Pats/Bills since 2000.

2000: 1-1

2001: 2-0

2002: 2-0

2003: 1-1

2004: 2-0

2005: 2-0

2006: 2-0

2007: 2-0

Pats 14, Bills 2 the last 8 years. You guys only managed to compile a .500 record against the Pats from '97-'99 when Pete Carroll was the Coach. That's pretty sad

I'll take it that you are all pissed off that the Pats are 4-2 without Brady this season.

How they don't give it to Lendale White over friggin Matt Cassel is beyond me. Just stupid.

Mystifying.

Maybe it's based on level of improvement and so that would make it go to Cassel based on how much he's sucked vs. that one game.

Troy? Perhaps you should take time off from making your diorama's for school and actually look up the name of the Bills QB.

Huh?? 83% completions & that's not good enough?

Trent had an 83% completion rating too, and nobody here is clamoring for him to win the award.

There were WAY better numbers put up by other players (even Morris). Something VERY fishy about his selection...I don't doubt it was a ploy to help boost his confidence...I mean that sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it does make for an intriguing case to look into.

I mean the guy was sacked 6 times....6!! As a QB you need to learn to get rid of the ball when nobody's open, but maybe Cassel didn't want to ruin his %? Selfish bastard! OR...the guy just isn't that smart. I can see 1, 2 even 3 of the sacks coming from something out of his control, but all 6 sacks?!?! Sorry, learn to cut your losses and dump the ball....no don't be stupid and try to force a throw, just get rid of it and help your team. If the Bronco's don't get jobbed a few times early in that game the score would have been a bit different and Cassel would might have actually been counted on to actually win a game on his own. Sorry Matt...I'd give the award to Sammy Morris as the guy ran for 120+ yards in a HALF.
