elegantelliotoffen Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 You're not a woman raising a big family, running the State of Alaska, with an apparently very active outdoor sportsman lifestyle are you? She doesn't "run" Alaska. She hasn't stepped foot in the state since August and Alaska seems to be "running" fine.
Wacka Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Well Obama isn't a senator since he's been running almost 2 years. And was barely a state senator since he voted "present"= abstain almost 150 times.

And was barely a state senator since he voted "present"= abstain almost 150 times. Except he voted over 4000 times, so 3% he didnt. And a lot of them, of the 129 he didnt vote, were on the same vote. Or part of a party plan. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/how_...te_present.html

"“If you are worried about your next election, the present vote gives you political cover,” said Kent D. Redfield, a professor of political studies at the University of Illinois at Springfield." So in a sense, he took the p_ssy way out. Now that sounds like a guy who will really stand by his convictions all right.

The Messiah stands fast in his convictions, except when he doesn't.
Kelly the Dog Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Another one. This time, one of McCain's own advisers, and Solicitor General under President Reagan. And he did it because of Palin. Reagan Appointee and (Recent) McCain Adviser Charles Fried Supports Obama Charles Fried, a professor at Harvard Law School, has long been one of the most important conservative thinkers in the United States. Under President Reagan, he served, with great distinction, as Solicitor General of the United States. Since then, he has been prominently associated with several Republican leaders and candidates, most recently John McCain, for whom he expressed his enthusiastic support in January. This week, Fried announced that he has voted for Obama-Biden by absentee ballot. In his letter to Trevor Potter, the General Counsel to the McCain-Palin campaign, he asked that his name be removed from the several campaign-related committees on which he serves. In that letter, he said that chief among the reasons for his decision "is the choice of Sarah Palin at a time of deep national crisis." Fried is exceptionally thoughtful and principled; his vote for Obama is especially noteworthy.

Harvard Law School professor backs Obama who is a prestigious Harvard Law School graduate. Wow what a scoop! There's too much conflict of interests there for that endorsement to mean anything. He certainly isn't going to bite the liberal hand that feeds. As for our "time of deep national crisis", that one was brought to us by the "smart" Washington DC crowd of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Nancy Pelosi. They were the ones who had the brilliant idea to look the other way and let the likes of Fanny Mae, Freddie Mack and Countrywide line the pockets of their democratic CEOs till the ship hit the iceberg and the country's economy went into the tank. Spare us these bogus nothingness endorsements please. You're starting to sound worried that the messiah could lose this election.

Nice one though.... http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/m000303/

Actually, months ago I predicted it would likely be a landslide, and then challenged anyone here to bet on it. One taker did. Now I still think it will be a landslide, probably greater than I predicted before. Your post does show an amazing talent for ignoring facts. You just assume that a Harvard Professor would vote for Obama without considering how big of a switch this was. It's pretty much the equivalent of you changing your vote to Obama. Except this guy can actually think for himself.

Just like General Powell, he has his own self interests for supporting Obama. Please try to give us a Republican party switching endorsement that actually holds some water. If you do, I promise I will give you props.

If there was such a major conflict of interest why the hell did the guy come out so strong FOR McCain and become part of two committees FOR McCain, and show no signs of being anything other than a staunch conservative his entire career? Until a little more than month ago. Oh, I know. One day he woke up and said to himself, "What the pfukk? I'm a Harvard Law Professor! What was I thinking all those decades! I'm voting for the liberal black celebrity Muslim socialist who pals around with terrorists! The answer to your last question is Ken Adelman.
elegantelliotoffen Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Here's the latest Republican to endorse Obama.

I'm voting for the liberal black celebrity Muslim socialist who pals around with terrorists! The answer to your last question is Ken Adelman. That "support" was in January when everyone still thought Hillary was going to win the Democratic nomination. Never heard of that Adelman guy so I did a thorough search. Congrads, that one actually does hold some water! As for Sara Palin, I'd take her as President over the possible radical Obama who has a closet full of anti-American mentors in his background. He lost me when I heard his spiritual mentor scream, "NO, NO, NO, NOT GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD DAMN AMERICA!" Then he had the "audacity" to say he had never heard Wright say such things. Either he's deaf or he lied about something serious. I don't think Obama's deaf. Sorry, but I no longer believe a word he says. If he wins, I hope all of you Obama supporters are right in that he isn't a closet radical, a socialist, and/or someone who's going to be soft on Islamic terrorism. McCain's not a prefect man, but I do know he isn't any of those things.
