Greybeard Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 interception return. He just quit running at about the 25, then the guy with the ball runs out of gas on the 10.

maddog Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I noticed that. Peerless Price was crucified for a similar effort against Pittsburgh about four years ago.
zow2 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I was at the game and saw it in person. It didn't bother me at all. No way was he going to catch that guy and I was thinking at the time "c'mon Willis, don't pull a hamstring". It looks bad that he gave up but I really didn't care about the play.

At least Moulds hustled.
eSJayDee Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 YES On top of my general dispair caused by our inept play, that actually pissed me off.
Mark Vader Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 This may have been the only bad thing that McGahee did all day. I'll let it go, but it was not something you like to see.
SDS Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I think he was out of gas himself. On less strenuous plays he was off to the sideline huffing and puffing like he ran a 100 yard dash...
HtownBillsFan Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 It looked to me that McGahee let up because a Raven was coming in from his right and was going to light him up.
BuffOrange Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 The rest of the team quit, why shouldn't he?
MDH Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Yeah, I noticed he stopped running though I think he was out of gas. My question is why, after 80 yards, there were only 2 Bills on my TV screen? Where was our speedster Evans, who was right next to the DB who caught the ball? I'll not rip into WM for being one of the few Bills who actually made an effort to make a tackle.

Unbelievable. Had Henry done the same thing, you guys would have been constructing a cross to crucify him on.

I'm not giving him a free pass, he should have kept running...but at the same time he did a better job than 9 other guys on that O.

jarthur31 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 That is disturbing but you guys need to realize he just only getting into game shape now. Yes, most athletes have to build strength/stamina through the use of their legs. He is still unsure about that knee.
Guest MDBILLSFAN Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I have seen much worse from Defensive Players who get paid to run down and tackle. I never have seen a RB benched because he didn't make a Tackle. How many time does he practice tackling at practice. What about Drew when they knocked the ball out of his hands? Everyone jumped on it except him, he just stood there trying to move his concrete shoes....

The sixth is Drew Bledsoe, and his foot speed is legendary. The tight end Campbell was probably out there, and he's not fast enough either. The only people with any prayer of catching him are the wide receivers and the running back, and that's with the wall of blockers he had following him.
***PetrinoInAlbany*** Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 TWO THINGS: The post-game picked up on it, so it must've been obvious. And if Eric Moulds can give chase, so can a first-year player ...
