truth on hold Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 He was having another good year for Pats until he hurt his foot last season. I've never seen the injury described in detail but I guess it was bad given he was cut by Pats and couldn't make Texans roster. But if he's doing better why not give him a shot? I know he's a little big and lumbering for our cover-2 system (he's more of the Pats OLD/DE hybrid kind of player like McGinnist, Thomas and Vrabel), but still he's a quality LB with a knack for making big plays. In any case, I always found it kind of odd the way he just disappeared without much explanation.
VOR Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 He was last with the Texans, being released on August 29th this year. I suspect injuries have robbed him of what he had left.
SKOOBY Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Let's add him for the Pats practice week, then sit him during the game and cut him on monday.
truth on hold Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 Let's add him for the Pats practice week, then sit him during the game and cut him on monday. yeah, and while we're at it, lets do one week signings of bledsoe and dillon too
Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Yeah, I think it has to be injury issues. If he hasn't found a home yet, he's probably done for.
BillsWatch Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 He owns two UPS stores. Probably involved with his business.
Steely Dan Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 If he has anything left he could at least add depth.
WellDressed Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Lets go scour other teams' practice squad's for LB's there has to be someone there worth a look.
Coach Tuesday Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 He is purely a passrusher at this point, and not a particularly explosive one. While we need passrush help for sure, I don't see us adding someone who can't play special teams and can't contribute in multiple phases of the defense. Highly doubtful.
Beerball Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 No answers here, just something to make you say hmmmmmmmmmm
ricojes Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 He owns two UPS stores. Probably involved with his business. So he delivers, get'er done Russ....
nucci Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 If he has anything left he could at least add depth. I think if he had anything left , he would be on someone's roster. He relied on his speed and quickness and injuries took that away.

jreed82 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Dunbar and Grant are two guys that I would take a good look at. Dunbar was a great college player, not sure how his game translates to the NFL.
