mtdoak Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I don't see why not. No way this team is even in playoff contention, and our draft position doesn't matter. Start JP.
CajunBillsBacker Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 We have nothing else to lose, might as well give our 2005 1st round selection some experience.
Campy Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Man, I can't wait to see JP have three balls deflect off of receivers' hands and be intercepted. That'd be sooooo much better.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I'm reluctant to start Losman if he's injured. Lets just say I cast my vote for "Backup QB *fill in the blank* to replace Bledsoe".
John from Riverside Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Man, I can't wait to see JP have three balls deflect off of receivers' hands and be intercepted. That'd be sooooo much better. 83130 Campy, Some of those throws should not have been where they should be....that said the WR's should have caught them....BUT Do we need to force it into a wide receiver all the time when we have a QB that can scramble for a first down to keep a drive alive? Losman brings more offensive options.....no doubt he will bring more int's....BUT WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE
Fake-Fat Sunny Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 There is no way I start JP now when he is still recovering from an injury that would have landed a less plucky player on the IR. The key regarding Losman is to develop him for the future and not to do a Todd Collins rushjob in developing him that sets back his progress. Now that the playoffs are certainly out of the question, it makes no sense to throw JP in to quickly for his development because even if he plays better than Bledsoe it makes no difference.
Mark VI Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Start JP as soon as he is healthy! 83990 11/21 vs. the Rams
mtdoak Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 11/21 vs. the Rams 83991 Anyway we can get a countdown going??
Guest joe b Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Losman will suck too and we will have given up next year's #1 draft pick for him. Then you'll really see Donahoe's football expertise. So yes, let's get JP out there; the sooner we get rid of Donahoe, the sooner we'll have a chance to start winning.
Snorom Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 As soon as he is 100% healthy and they teach him to slide. If JP continues his preseason recklessness he won't last till the end of this season. but I think everyone wants to see JP get some experience in this year.
sidbuff Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Start him practicing him more and get him in the 2nd half at the Jets NOV 7th game. Then start him at the 11/21 game against the RAMS.
seq004 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I'm with you, but will MM make the move? He needs too desperately. This team needs to start making changes now. They are losing support.
Jack D. Ripper Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 What have we learned Comrades? Drew is not the QB for this team. This Oline cannot protect him and without more mobility at the QB position this O will never get us anywhere. Start JP the minute he is healthy. What kind of cap hit will the Bills take if Bledsoe is released at the end of the year?
gantrules Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 START JP NOW!!!! This is season is a wash...get the kid in there so he can get the bumps out of the road this year...then next year he will feel a bit more comfortable.
bobblehead Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I'd wait until he can run, myself. Anyone have tickets for the Rams game to sell?
