Joe The Plummer Is Mad As Hell!

Regardless of how Wurzelbacher would personally fare under the candidates' plans, he suggested to ABC News' Nightline that he is against all forms of progressive taxation.

During his telephone interview with ABC News, the Ohio plumber argued that the government should not tax some more than others and argued that this principle should extend not only to Americans at his income-level but also to the world's richest man.

"I don't like it," said Wurzelbacher. "You know, me or -- you know, Bill Gates, I don't care who you are. If you worked for it, if it was your idea, and you implemented it, it's not right for someone to decide you made too much."

Does he think Bill Gates should pay the same amount as him, or the same percentage? Following the plummer's sophmoric logic, should everyone pay the same amount, not the same percentage? Taxing by a percentage punishes the wealthy, does it not?

Ever heard of the fair tax Einstein?

I've always been taught that nothing in life is exactly fair. But go ahead and explain it too me.

Its kind of funny that last week the base was complaining about 'their' taxes bailing out the rich, now they are complaining that the rich will have to pay more taxes.

Are they just angry people and they don't really care what they are angry about as long as they can be angry?

Um, from the article:

the Ohio plumber argued that the government should not tax some Americans at a higher percentage than others

That's my take. The PPP board is a prime example.

Boy, you really nailed that one! I mean, I know that if I had a candidate that matched my views, I'd totally be trying to sh-- all over him.

I just saw Joe the Plumber being interviewed. He's sounded like a shill for the Republicans. He's tired of people putting down America and thinks we should be proud that we went into Iraq. He wants America to remain a democracy and not become a socialist society. How soon before he shows up at a McPain rally?

Yep, from the same guy who didn't know why he joined the Natural Law party and wasn't sure what all these policies meant. Not a bad guy, but I disagree with him politically. Yet I know the angle he comes at it from and have a number of good old boy friends that are like him. Not going to change his mind until his military benefits or those of his friends get cut. Not saying we shouldn't support our veterans, but what about healthcare for seniors, and support for special needs children.... You keep adding things like this up and soon you have to find a way to pay for it.

Heck, we are not even paying for the war in Iraq yet, more deficit and spend Republicans attitude. McSame can't balance the deficit and lower the debt without some serious cuts and pay fores. This should be interesting should he get elected.

So he supports the expensive Iraq War but not the taxes to pay for it? Sounds like a stupid a-hole to me.

So let me get this straight. He is not free to think what he wants. Liberals are no longer liberal they are communists Communism will be destroyed in this country , literally. Obama is a fraud , the communist front man

I think neither of them should pay and it's unconstitutional. That's the fair tax I can live with, cut the size of government and entitlements, stop policing the world, raise tariffs and stop "Free" trade, and cut our debt in half in 4 years.

That's change, not increasing or shrinking what we currently have.

Funny. My wife and I were just discussing this morning: how long before the left starts turning on a guy who has done nothing but ask a simple, honest question to a man running for president.

One guy. One question. Speaks the mind of average America. Puts a face on what's wrong with Obama's tax plan.

Ergo...he's a shill.

You must have been really disappointed to find out that "the shiteater" is, in fact, registered to vote. :(:devil:

All his answers to followup questions show who he supports. He also said that he wants to privatize Social Security and thought McCain won the debate. He's free to think what he wants, but it's obvious who he supports. Why not just come out and say it. Palin is already using him in her stump speech.

By the way, the average plumber nationally makes about $45k a year. So if he's anywhere except in the extreme high end of that group, he would get a tax cut under Obama.

Joe the Plumber is just an average guy. Since he clearly didn't understand that a BUSINESS grossing 250k annually isn't the same as a SALARY of $250k, he probably shouldn't consider buying it anyway.

It just boils down to "are you better off now than eight years ago". Some people are, many are not. The scales will tip depending on just how many are not and who they perceive can make things right.
