Coach Tuesday
Well at least they made a move to improve this team - in 2009. Ridiculous.
Heitz
Holy crap - just got that too! Wonder what we got? I got the text and thought it was going to say "The Bills did NOT trade for Tony Gonzalez today". Guess I was wrong

Fingon
Wait, wasn't there like 50 posts about how the NFL had to report trades at 4 because it was against the law not to?
Heitz
How come the trade news is coming through at 5:30 - shouldn't we have known at 4:00? Guess he was really, really in the doghouse!!
Coach Tuesday
Anyone else think maybe they worked both deals simultaneously, hoping they'd recoup the pick they lost for Gonzo? Now we have no tight end, and far less depth at yet another critical position. Yeah I'm annoyed.
RJ (not THAT RJ)
Anyone else think maybe they worked both deals simultaneously, hoping they'd recoup the pick they lost for Gonzo? Now we have no tight end, and far less depth at yet another critical position. Yeah I'm annoyed. I don't, but then again I'm not looking for reasons to criticize the FO. Saint Doug
Whose gunna be the 4th DT now? Bring Back Anderson! I hope we at least got a 3rd. Guess we should go DT again in first round next year. I like the message this sends the younger players. It doesn't matter what round you were taken. You need to work. ans4e64
Thank God that lazy piece of crap is off this team. Props to the Bills for admitting a mistake. Here's crossing my fingers we got a 3rd rounder in return.
todd
Relax. It is MID SEASON! Impact trades rarely happen, and for good reason. I would have loved Gonzo, but I'm not foolish enough to think that the FO sucks because we didn't make the trade. Get real. Anyone else think maybe they worked both deals simultaneously, hoping they'd recoup the pick they lost for Gonzo? Now we have no tight end, and far less depth at yet another critical position. BillsVet
Trader Bill at it again. Colts are desperate for C2 type DT's. They've been hurt dearly on the DL this year. McCargo's run here was short and another in a long line of busts. That 2nd and 3rd in 06 was a heavy price to pay.

I would have loved Gonzo, but I'm not foolish enough to think that the FO sucks because we didn't make the trade. Get real. Some of you people are feisty SOBs. Nowhere did I write that the FO sucks. I'm annoyed that they haven't upgraded the TE position, which they've now admitted through their actions is in dire need of upgrade. I'm allowed to be critical of them for that without being on a "crusade" or saying that they "suck." So YOU get real, bud.
