I thought so....

crickets

sorry, I don't come here as often as I'd like.

But your response about approval ratings was WEAK.

Here I thought you were going to start throwing figures at me proving that both the "fundamentals" of the economy (however you define them) and the "work force" are either a.) strong or b.) in delince because of Democrat commies.

You failed to do either!

You're better than that.

Listen young dude. The figures you're looking for is in another thread I started about Obamas Bullshiit dream on his tax proposals.

Do you read this board at all, big cat? where are the big talking TPS, blzrul and the rest of the mud slingers? Why are they not defending his policies? His wantent socialistic rhetoric is mesmerized even the most ardent lemmings. Doesent that make you think?

They've avoided this thread along with the one with the WSJ article. Stand up and be a free thinker Big Cat!!

Let me also be clear. McCain is no the right choice either. Please, re consider your vote.

And you're right, "I am better than this" because I'm not a lemming :nana:

He looks that plumber right in his eye's and says a big " !@#$ YOU "

Why should I care about a little "extra" tax on the top 5 % of earners? I'm not one of them, and I'd bet most of the kooks on this board aren't either -regardless of how they like to portray themselves. It's not even a tax increase as the Bush tax cuts would simply be eliminated on that group. We see how well those worked for most people. The fact is, we're all going to have to pay a bit more to make up for the colossal f**kup in office right now. The country has been driven into the ground financially and we'll be paying for this for a long time. The majority need a real tax break and the 5% at the top can afford to carry their weight as this country has enabled their success. Have them go to Africa or Haiti and see if they are as successful there. The laws of this nation have allowed them to prosper through yes, hard work and also some luck if not just their location on the globe. If you are among the top 5% of earners (and I doubt you are if you are spending time on a Bills fan board) you probably should be against Obama. I would too. But simple math says their aren't enough of you to win McCain the Presidency. That said, I have a good job with good health insurance and pay my taxes like anyone else. I just cannot vote for a Republican because they are religious wackos and want everyone to conform to their religious ideology. Religion is the cause of 99% of the problems in the world, and as a secular person I always vote Liberal.

I'm all for wealth redistribution to the working class. American workers real wages have been falling for years. Time to take back some of the ground we've lost.

Which is mostly due to overbearing government but I'm sure they'll solve it. Just like they solved the non-existant problem of home ownership by basically tanking the entire !@#$ing global economy.

Keep dreaming because ignoring reality is too painful.

So you returned that $3k to Caribou Barbie, right? Or donated? Because I am sure you wouldn't want to be taking gov't handouts.

We've posted plenty on other threads which overlap. And if you're talking about a WSJ OP ED, forget it. Opinions aren't the same as facts. To illustrate, I have a certain opinion of you. Hopefully, my opinion is not reality - for your sake at least.

There is no more Liberal or Democrat ,your party has been stolen by the communist. That said when they raise taxes on your company they could lay you lff , cut your health insurance to offset the raise in taxes , or riase the price of their product ,I dont know why you people dont understand that.Relifious wackos ,I dont recall religion entering inot the campaign except for the stance on abortion.Too much government , no good. I myself am pro life but I can see a womens right to choose if the government isnt paying for it

Yup. And it's the job of the people, not the gubmint.

Oh, okay you mean the free market??? That is a farce controlled by big business... please that is why we are in this mess to begin with. Big mortgage companies got greedy and leveraged themselves too much till the house of cards came crashing down.

From a government that at worst looked the other way, to government misspent giveaways to oil companies, drug companies and the health industry there is plenty of blame to go around, but please don't tell these folks should have to pay for their excesses, they created the problem to begin with.

I guess you rich rw and knuckle dragger wannabees don't see how spreading the wealth helps everyone. Because 90% of this country making under $100k, i.e., the less wealthy have to spend their money on the basics like housing and consumer essentials and an occasional vacation, which goes right back in the pockets of you Richy Riches. But it creates demand, new jobs and raises GDP. Hmm, tell me why isn't that a good thing?

Even McCain understands this with his housing proposal, or is better to reward Wall Street firms that made bad decisions or Joe homeowner who did? Hmm... You free market lemmings are incredible B-)

You guys are loony.

We already tax based upon levels of income. The more you make the more you pay. I think Obama is suggesting he would adjust the percentages so that the top earners pay a little more, while people on the lower end of the scale pay a little less.

Adjusting percentages != communism. You can agree or disagree about what effects such a change would have on our economy, but to just blindly claim that such an adjustment is tantamount to the creation of a stateless society is simply preposterous, and shows that the level of political discourse in our nation is comparable to that which you would see on a playground.

(FYI - I'm a registered republican, and I approve this post.)

I get that, but that is part of his problem, he is letting the McCain's folks confuse the issue and needs to be more forceful in countering it.

A little more? There was a WSJ article posted a while back about his plan that said he had the top payers paying over 70% of their income to the government.

Why not they can afford it.

If they make a million dollar why not give 700K to the government. They can do better things with it than he can. Hell he'd probably want to buy a car, pool, invest in stocks which give companies more money make 401k's go up in value and generally allow the companies to higher more low wage employees.

But if the government had that 700K it wouldn't be invested in companies via stock, therefore they'd have more money to pay welfare, medicaid and unemployment for those workers who wouldn't be hired because the money is out of the system.
