EII has said he'd like to have a socialistic society. Do I need to cut and paste information about socialism for you?

Or could you just jump out a fourth story window for me?

I would just like for you to describe to me specific examples of how "bureaucrats will be planning your life" and where your "lifestyle is determined by someone other than you" if Obama wins. I'm just curious.

Where did I specifically say that we would have a socialist society if, sorry, when Obama was elected.

I hope you have no offspring.

You've been drinking haven't you?

Meanwhile we have the US government buying banks...capitalism at its finest. Keep Big Government out of business, unless I need a bailout.

I guess if you, as an individual human being, have no ambitions, no prospects, no ability to respect and accept personal responsibility and accountability, and believe that the government running all aspects of your life is a far, far better thing than you could ever accomplish on your own, then you're probably right. It's not such a bad idea.

By your own admission, you're young and inexperienced in the workforce (based on your toilet overflow drama), currently working a temp job. So I guess if I tried really hard I could maybe, possibly see where letting the government take care of you for the rest of your life would be appealing. But personally speaking, it ain't my gig. Being, theoretically older than you, the way I see it, it would be like I was competing in, say, a sport like football. I work harder than most all offseason to get ready, then work harder than most to earn a roster spot, then work harder than most to earn a starting spot, then be with a team that works harder than most to make the playoffs, then work harder than most to make the Super Bowl, only to show up and have someone suddenly say "This competition thing isn't working, so instead of letting you duke it out for a big trophy, we're going to make 32 little trophies for everyone because that's really the fair way to go. But hey...thanks for the effort."

All the work, sacrifice, defeats and ultimate success over all these years just to I can share with a war effort fueled by a rampant military industrial complex.

And everything you said above would be true if:

The only reward for hard work was money

Being classified as a Socialist country would completely sequester anyone's ambition to succeed at anything.

Personally, I don't think either of these statements are true.

And thanks for the football analogy, you condescending bummer. My young, penniless brain couldn't handle your big-boy ideas concerning distribution of wealth.

EDIT: I also want to add that you seem to make socialist countries out to be these uni-class societies where a guy handing out tickets in a toll booth earns as money as a brain surgeon. That's simply not the case.

You're god-damned right I do! Are you so much of a child that you need to be told what to do, when to do it and how you should do it?

Look at it the other way... I have no problem dissenting.

Are you so much a child that you can't listen to people? What's with the overconfidence?

I don't undertsand the military guys that have your viewpoint... Some were able to take orders... But, the minute some get out, they don't want to listen to anybody but themselves... Is the belief that this was "earned."

Either you're trying to be kind and not embarrass him or you are not recognizing fear when you "see" it. The military provides order and discipline. When you're out, that's gone. You're on your own. Most people don't have a problem with the transition. Many find it a very threatening and frigtening experience. So what may appear to be overconfidence is often the exact opposite.

Ever watch Cesar Millan - and see the "insecure dominant" animals he talks about? It holds for people too.

 It is pretty fascinating.

Joe does a pretty good job of embarrassing himself as do most of the others that attack in this fashion.

You know, they will dismiss this as psychobabble.:lol:
