Sarah Palin Newsweek Cover

Recommended Posts

This doesn't help, it gets a Republican reaction, but really shows what kind of issues really get them up in arms... their looks! The economy is going to sh#$t and they are worried about photoshoped warts and hairs on Palin's face. Great.

The photo manipulation is juvenile... kind of like my Avatar of McCain, but get over it.

Palin is one wicked, inciteful b*tch. You can see the wackos she is inciting.

You are a fuggin retard. I'm really suprised they even trust you to handle a weedeater at work with your level of mental ability.

Calling Palin a B word is no different than calling Obama a n*gger, but you're to ignorant to realize this.

How would you react if someone called your hero a n*gger?

You are right. But she is inciteful. And that is ridiculous.

Then I saw her answer questions and realized that she did not know what was going on in the world, and had no preparation for this job. She cannot answer simple questions. She is totally unprepared for the job she was handed, and is scary for the country. I don't even care about her political views that I don't agree with. She, as she is, is an affront to intelligence on a world stage. It's possible that in four years of studying every day she could learn enough to be a formidable candidate, but I have my doubts.

Change the pronoun and you just described Obama and Plugs. I have plenty of left-leaning friends who are afraid of BOTH of them. The more I look into Obama's past and associations, the more scared I get. This man has all the makings of a socialist radical who has exhibited the absolute worst judgement I have ever seen from a candidate. I know he keeps denouncing all these folks, and the MSM has been giving him a pass because let's face it, they made Obama the star he is, but if the Odinga thing ever takes root (which it most likely won't right now), this could flip on him in a NY minute. And when the media turns on him, he's done.

Yeah, I know...I'm just a homer kool-aid drinking fool. But when you start going through the associations...Ayers, Wright, Rezko, Odinga...even a Dem has to look around and think "Where there's smoke..." Now you add in all the lying his front men do about who he was with, when he was where, etc., and no decent human being would intentionally go anywhere near such a deceptive person.

One thing I know for sure and something you surely can't deny: the media made Obama. And when the media makes you, it's generally to do one thing and one thing only: to tear you down in embarrassing fashion.

Case in point..it's time to take the elevator up another couple of floors: Dems Say It's Over.

What are you smoking and can you pass it this way? Guilt by Association that is all you have. Fact of the matter is that there is really nothing there, but in usual form the GOP will try to use fearmongering to get what they want.

You obviously never looked at Palin or McCain's associations huh?;)

Predictable liberal response #137: When you have no response, call it fearmongering.:D

WTF? The reason people like him is because he's smart, as well as telegenic, and a powerful orator. The media didn't create him, the media gave him no coverage and no chance. He was an also ran. His campaign and his decisions and his ability to speak to people when no one was covering him is what made him, and AFTER he won in Iowa and people started paying attention to him, that is when the media jumped on the bandwagon. He had already virtually won the primary (after Super Tuesday) against the media's favorite, Hillary, before the media actually started fawning all over him. And they did it because they saw the star power in him when he started speaking, they didnt take a nobody and make him a star. Then they jumped over the cliff and went gaga.

He's orchestrated this entire thing and most everyone that follows this stuff, even his biggest haters, acknowledge that his campaign and his decisions and especially THE PEOPLE HE SURROUNDS HIMSELF WITH have been terrific.

Again, from David Brooks, the conservative:

Brooks predicted an Obama victory by nine points, and said that although he found Obama to be "a very mediocre senator," he was is surrounded by what Brooks called "by far the most impressive people in the Democratic party."

"He's phenomenally good at surrounding himself with a team," Brooks said. "I disagree with them on most issues, but I am given a lot of comfort by the fact that the people he's chosen are exactly the people I think most of us would want to choose if we were in his shoes. So again, I have doubts about him just because he was such a mediocre senator, but his capacity to pick staff is impressive."

We can agree to disagree. I have to leave now and fire up my Tivo to watch the Obama World Tour that no one covered while reading about Michelle Obama in US, Time, and every other publication filling the checkout stand.

He may have orchestrated it, but he orchestrated it with and through the media. How you can deny that is beyond me.

Just remember what I said, even if you don't agree: the media made him and the media will take him down, especially when they don't have anyone else to focus on. When the Democrats control everything, you think the media will keep beating up on Palin?;)

Good, the media should scrutinize all gov't officials, especially the president. They lost their nerve after 9/11 and were afraid to question the administration about Iraq. Hopefully they've got their spine back, regardless of what party is in power.

My husband believes she looks JUST LIKE Peggy Hill. With a like IQ and the attendant over-confidence in her own abilities.

By the way, were these same wingnuts upset way back in 1994 when that photo of OJ was touched up to make his mug shot look even blacker? In the interests of fairness and accuracy you know....

The reason the left hate Palin and consider her a B word and hideous is because THEY were the ones who were supposed to bring a formidable woman to the table at this point, not the right.

Perhaps the most hypocritical part of the left this election year has been how a group that has spent so much time screaming and yelling for women's rights and equality suddenly feel like all woman are knobgobblers who need to stay home, clean the house and shut the !@#$ up until spoken to. 0:):lol:

But hey...it fits their needs right now. After Obama and Plugs get elected, women will once again be relevant and respected, however the left reserves the right to change their mind as it sees fit.

Yeah that is not an accurate statement by any stretch of the imagination. People hate Palin because she's as dumb as a brick, and it scares the S out of them thinking that she could be VP ... or even worse, President.

I don't hate Palin. I think she is a dangerous idiot. It irritates me that she makes women look bad. It irritates me that men who would condemn the shallowness and ignorance in another man are giving her a pass because she is an attractive woman. I think her nomination is an insult to the American people. And from a global perspective, she's an embarrassment. And I am embarrassed for John McCain's desperation in choosing her.

Not sure if this was posted in this thread. Do you think these photos are appropriate? Regardless of your like/dislike of Palin, I think they're rather tasteless.

They actually showed the first photo on MSNBC this morning. I don't know... it is tasteless and sexist, but the Republicans are using her sex and sexiness too so to me it is all pathetic and beside the point while we are in an economic crisis.

Here they are listed on the hospital's website. Trig Palin, who was born there, Sarah Palin tells us, on April 18 at 6.30 am, is nowhere to be found. If you can find any public record of Trig Palin's birth anywhere, please let me know. I will gladly publish it as soon as I find it. So far, none exists that I have been able to track down. The Dish contacted Mat-Su and asked what the criteria are for including the names of the babies born in the hospital.

They said that inclusion on the list is by parental choice and they ask all parents. When asked if it was therefore a fair inference to say that they asked the Palins and the Palins chose not to have their child included on the list, the hospital told us that the Palins' privacy barred them from answering those questions. I asked the McCain-Palin campaign to comment but they refuse to answer my emails.

As far as the propriety of demanding such basic public records, I am merely following Sarah Palin's own standards. In her first race for mayor of Wasilla, she demanded the marriage license of her opponent be made public. Why? Because his wife kept her maiden name - and Palin deemed that sufficiently unusual to demand total transparency. If that level of transparency is necessary for the race for Wasilla mayor, why is it "unspeakable" for the vice-presidency of the United States? Is being mayor of Wasilla more significant than possibly being US president?

Any estimate on how many MSNBC employees will be laid off in January? Will Olbertard have to go back to doing the sports?

I really don't get the hatred of this woman. It's shameful that we've come to this point. And for the record I feel the same way about The way The Messiah is being treated. Answer me this Lefties-why do you hate this woman so much? Is it because she walks the walk?

You may not like her ideas but why dehumanize her? So acording to Exiled in Idiotville ahe's a b*tch? Nice.

You don't get the hatred of a pitbull? Maybe if it was your family dog that never hurt anyone. I think the neighbor that gets their child mauled by it would think different.

By her own defintion... She is a "pitbull"... Why wouldn't one hate her. For some reason, I don't associate "honor" with that kind of animal.

A b*tch is a female dog right. A sire a male. Again, by here own definition, she is a B word. You can't have it both ways SD. Honor is a two way street. Why does everybody else have to be honorable and she gets a free pass?.

What is beyond belief is that so many Americans find "honor" in the most bizarre places.

Palin dehumanized herself from the get go... With her very own words... Now she doesn't like it?

That is totally untrue BS... Hillary is equally a dishonorable B word. So is McCain, a guy who even served his country... imagine that!

Nice psycho babble LA.

I totally respect say Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

Bitches like Hillary and Sarah are the chicks that go to a football game and get all the guys in a lather... No shortage of these slob chicks at games in areas like Cleveland, BFLO, and Chicago.

That's an excellent point. You can't have it both ways.
