eball Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Was this the move of an insightful coach who wants his team to "re-energize" over an extended break, or a bad idea given the obvious mistakes made during the AZ game that need to be addressed? Personally, I like the idea of giving the team some time to rest. I just hope the coaching staff isn't also taking the time off.

Albany,n.y. Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Jauron got sick of watching JP Losman take snaps with the 1st team. He figures there's nothing that the team will get out of working with JP other than practice recovering fumbles and D backs honing their INT skills. Next week Edwards will be back at practice and the Bills can get something out of their practices.
Phlegm Alley Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 DJ too soft. Dick is too soft? Big problem
The Senator Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 So if Trent shows up for practice again tomorrow, I guess we should be worried. Edwards reports, sent home
ChasBB Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 It will be their last break from routine until after they win the Super Bowl (hey, gotta think positive -- that's what they're playing for after all), so I think it is wise to rest this week. Good move by Jauron.
lets_go_bills Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I like the move. Let the guys go home and rest, lick their wounds, spend some time with the families. Then come back next week with their batteries re-charged and ready to work.
Big Turk Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Dick is too soft? Big problem Wonder if he lives on Dick Road? I hear its kinda long...

Personally, I like the idea of giving the team some time to rest. I just hope the coaching staff isn't also taking the time off. All I can say is that I doubt very much that Parcells and Billichek would give their team that many days off after such an embarassing performance.
marauderswr80 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Noway, gives a chance for our guys the recharge their batteries and to get healthy again. Im all for it as long as they work hard when they get back.
NicholasCal1 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 are the coaches saying they haven't figured out how to correct the mistakes ? They need more time to study film ?
JimmyPage Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Jauron should have given some of them a bus ticket out of the NFL.
d_wag Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 i'm not a fan of the day off - looked like they had plenty to work on last sunday....that being said, it's not a real big deal i just hope they all keep their noses clean while enjoying their extended break
Pyrite Gal Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 DJ too soft. I do not think more practice is going to solve the problems the team showed on Sunday. More practice rarely hurts but the problems we saw on Sunday were not problems that they did not do things correctly, it seemed to be a lack of internal fire to use the skills which many of the individuals have to play collaboratively to beat an opponent that showed some desire. I am not sure what will solve the problem but it seems to me more practice will not.

You're right. They should have training camp style practices through their bye week. These guys are men and professionals. No one is happy in that lockerroom. They are young and hungry. A loss is a loss whether you lose by 50 or a point. Get healthy, rest, and come back Mondayto prepare to take it out on the Steelers. Good move.
