EndZoneCrew Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I don't understand why we did not draft one...Indy had Jeff Saturday and they drafted THREE centers this year!

julian Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 wow...hes gotta be one of the worse lineman in the league, the undersized sack of chit gets blown up almost every play.
DaGimp Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 This thread needs to be pinned until Melvin is replaced.
bizell Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 he looked really good pulling on that lee evans end around, he looked absolutely horrible (or was it brad butler's guy?) on that failed handoff from losman to lynch that resulted in a fumble...
Beerball Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I don't understand why we did not draft one...Indy had Jeff Saturday and they drafted THREE centers this year! we drafted 3 corners!
dave mcbride Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 A little more nuance, please? He's actually a capable pass blocker, and he stays healthy. These are not small things. He's a weak run blocker, but guess what? No team has five all-pros on the line.

DaGimp Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 I believe if Fowler were to be replaced along with a change in run blocking scheme most problems would be resolved.
KOKBILLS Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 A little more nuance, please? He's actually a capable pass blocker, and he stays healthy. These are not small things. He's a weak run blocker, but guess what? No team has five all-pros on the line. Fowler may be a decent Pass Blocker when He engages...MAY be...But all too often I see him choosing to double team when a single blitzer is blowing by behind His turned back...Maybe that's the planned blocking scheme...I don't know... As Run Blocker He gets zero push most of the time...I think from OG to OG The Bills are still lacking in the Run Block game and to be honest I just don't get it...Outside of Fowler they should be dominating a heck of a lot more than they do... But Fowler is definitely the weak link and an area The Bills could upgrade and see immediate improvement...Which is saying a lot cause this Offense is already pretty decent with TE at QB...Think how good it would be with an above average C...
Captain Hindsight Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I believe if Fowler were to be replaced along with a change in run blocking scheme most problems would be resolved. Ya then our Pro bowler could actaully push someone around
QB Bills Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 seriously...the guy is pathetic we have no running game unless its to the sides...when the weather gets worse and you can't run up the gut, it's going to be tough to win games
