John from Riverside Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 OK defense.....it is time to check to see if you left Buffalo with your heart
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 D is sucking right now! D hasn't been too dominant since the Seahawks game IMO.
FreeBird Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 he is right though, our defense has been great cuz our offense is designed for 7 yard catch and run to set up the eventual long play, our defense has been on the field the whole game. ok lets have a shootout..... lots of footBUFF left.. 12 plays 78 yards.. what D
Golden Wheels Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 It's one thing for Edwards to be out, but it's another for the entire Bills defense to be sucking canal water.
Numark Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 it reminds me of when kevin got hurt last year and the team just got "depressed" and couldn't play.
stuckincincy Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 They are tired. Have hardly been off the field. Offense hasn't had a drive yet. Good point. 14:10 min TOP vs. 8:40, 15 1st downs vs. 3, so far.
ChasBB Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Way to help out JP defense -- WTF. Come ON -- let's get MEAN and NASTY and HURT some people!!!!
K-Gun10 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 There tackling today sucks Mitchell and Greer are the only bright spots on D today.
nodnarb Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 just curious - anyone think JP has what it takes to win this game down two scores?
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Why in the hell does Wendling just stand around on extra points? With his leaping ability, he should be jumping over top of the line to try and block the kick. I know this is something very minor, but I have noticed it the past 4 weeks. I figured he would be a kick blocking champ after seeing him hop over the line in a preseason game. Just a thought.
McD Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Terrible, terrible, terrible. Good lord this is exactly what every team in the league will see and emulate...the blueprint on how to beat the Bills.....
BRH Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 This was one of the faults of the JP era. Short drives leave the D on the field too much. Funny, I thought it was going 0-for-6 on stopping teams on third down that leaves the D on the field too much. But maybe that's just me.
davefan66 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Gotta draw out this drive, take the last 5 min off the clock and score. Regroup and come out firing after the half. Coaching staff has shown they are good at changing the gameplan at halftime (even though we need them to do it now).
Tcali Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 getting outcoached and severely outplayed on defense yeah its not great going thru a whole half and not stopping them once.Combo of bad DE play and poor coaching
Captain Hindsight Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 it reminds me of when kevin got hurt last year and the team just got "depressed" and couldn't play. Little different becasue everyone thoguht Everret died Edwards walked off the field
Bmwolf21 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 just curious - anyone think JP has what it takes to win this game down two scores? If it were two scores - absolutely do. Just curious - do you really think the defense is going to pitch a shutout the rest of the way to keep the deficit at two scores?
bluv Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 he is right though, our defense has been great cuz our offense is designed for 7 yard catch and run to set up the eventual long play, our defense has been on the field the whole game. The offense is also used to the Bills stopping the opposition on 3rd down as well. Face it: the D is getting killed on short passes and has to adjust. I miss McGee WAY more than I miss Trent at this point! The offense has started slow in every game besides the Jags; I'm not used to the D getting torched!
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 just curious - anyone think JP has what it takes to win this game down two scores? With the defense playing HORRIBLY and with ZERO run game...not a chance.
TrentLeeLynch Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 everyone has talent. we will adjust. bank on it. first time we are playing an offense of Cards caliber. D will get better this game.
