The Dean
i'm pretty sure they are apart of nielson Nielsen Media Research (the ratings company). AC Nielsen (market research and other stuff) and Scarborough Research (lifestyle and consumer research) were all bought by a Dutch company called VNU. I think VNU may have recently changed their corporate name to "The Nelsen Company". But, Nielsen Media Research and Scarborough operate separately. Typically, Scarborough does some pretty shoddy research.
