eball Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Starting a new thread because this is a different question. Fans I was sitting with at the game Sunday thought McKelvin's hit on Looker late in the 4th quarter was helmet-to-helmet, but I've seen nothing on ESPN or NFL.com about a fine or suspension. For those of you who watched on TV, what did the announcers say?
VOR Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 It was a perfectly legal and good play. There won't be a fine, much less suspension.
eball Posted September 30, 2008 Author Posted September 30, 2008 That's great to hear, because it was one heluva hit and I'm glad our rookie has learned proper technique. I see too many of these guys come out of college and lead with their heads.
Bleed Bills Blue Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 For those of you who watched on TV, what did the announcers say? I think it was something like: "Well, Luke, it looked like Looker looked left before McClobber lit into him with a lucky lick." Seriously, remember Donte took the rookie under his wing; so where do you suppose Leodis learned to jar someone's bones like that? It was a good, clean hit, just like the one to Oucho Stinko.
jayg Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 After MNF the Leodis hit was the last highlight of the intro to sports center.
Max Fischer Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Has anyone located a clip of the hit?
