VOR Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 No he wouldn't. McGee has 5 PD's and 2 ints and 15 tackles compared to Porter who has 3 and 1 and 20. I wouldn't even put Porter above Greer.
GG Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 It wouldn't be a Monday without the resident dumas reaching deep into the low self esteem pile to toss in a tangent of a thread. We don't care that your parents or friends don't listen to you. We don't give a crap that Tracy Porter is playing well for the Saints, just like we don't really care how poorly David Beckham is playing for the Galaxy. But if this is your early stage prediction that McKelvin is going to be a bust on the level of Ashton Youboty, then we'll gladly take your word for it. Great job by Eric King sharing a special teams tackle, he's a game changer.
Lori Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Are you actually arguing that the front office is incompetent because McKelvin isn't starting ahead of McGee, Greer, and Yobouty? Yes. Unfortunately, since he apparently didn't "ID" McGee and Greer during their draft years, he has no love for the Bills' starting CBs. Even though they've picked off more passes (3) than they've allowed touchdowns (2), and opposing QBs have completed fewer than half their passes, compiling a microscopic 64.3 passer rating. Not bad for a second-day pick and a UDFA. So, since a rookie can't crack that lineup -- as opposed to the 2-2 Saints, which featured the Jasons (David and Craft) by the end of last year, is dealing with injuries to Randall Gay (hamstring) and Mike McKenzie (returning from last season's ACL tear), and currently ranks 29th in passing yardage allowed (24 spots behind the fifth-ranked Bills) -- he obviously sucks.

Jeez Lori, stop your stat parroting. Only the self-proclaimed football genius, LaDumbass, watches the games and can tell who will really make it or break it in the NFL. Players like Justin Geisinger, on their 3rd team in 4 years who have appeared in a grand total of 2 games in 4 years. Also players like Eric King, who after 3+ seasons, is still fighting just to try and get some snaps in garbage time for the titans.

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 "So the Saints' FO was dumb for taking Bush with the 2nd overall pick, but smarter than the Bills' FO for drafting Porter. Okay." Throwing darts against the wall, some will land in the bullseye. And some will, well, Leodis... Porter would be the best corner on the Bills by a mile right now. The issue is TALENT ASSESSMENT, and the incredible anger, jealousy, dishonesty and denial some have here over the truth of the issue... It's really awesome how you think you can assess the results of a draft after 4 games. Are you claiming that you have documentable proof that Leodis will be an inferior cover corner in the long run? Who are you to say that Leodis won't have developed into a dominant cornerback 2 years from now? They say it takes 2 seasons minimum to truly analyze a draft (case in point, Super Mario being a better pick than Bush). And besides, Porter would not be the best corner on the Bills. Jabari Greer has that title in my opinion (and no, not just because of that pick six yesterday). He's the best coverage corner I've seen on the Bills in a long while. He's on the short side, but you never see him blow his assignment and he gets a load of passes deflected even if he doesn't intercept many jump balls because of his height.
deep2evans Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 LOL at this thread. LaDarius = Tracy Porter It's the only explanation for this foolishness.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I forgot to mention, Greer has only 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assist) this season. That's a good thing. It means the receiver he's covering rarely ends up with the ball in his hands.
deep2evans Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 And let's just say Porter ends up being a really good player. Is it really EMBARRASSING that we took McKelvin? Is it really EMBARRASSING that Porter has 1 more INT through 4 games? Is it also EMBARRASSING that our "lack of ability to assess coverage talent" has led to the Bills having the 5th ranked pass defense? Or are just a huge !@#$ who like to rile people up?
Stl Bills Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 HEY LADUMBASS, remember how you bitched and moaned that Jason Allen was BY FAR the best DB in 2006. Do everybody a favor and just STFU. BAWK BAWK!!!!!
JStranger76 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Actually deep2evans, LaDingleberry's foolishness has been going on for some time now. Anyone remember the gem of a thread "Breathtaking.........never has so much blah blah blah on so little" regarding the free agent signings of Langston Walker and Derrick Dockery last offseason? LaDarius=resident assclown
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 It's stupid early, but the McKelvin/Corner/Cox picks have worked out fabulously well for the Bills so far. It lit an acetylene torch under Youboty's booty and has kept McGee and Greer on the hot seat to perfect their craft and not relax and backslide. The Bills have serviceable depth at the position and some options in the next couple of years so that don't have to panic and pay big money to a resume name like Troy Vincent.
JStranger76 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 That's the thing, it's stupid early, but it doesn't stop LaDumbass.
Lori Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Courtesy is contagious - Just become someone doesn't share your opinion - doesn't make them an idiot. It is ok to cheer for other players or to wear the jersey number of your choice. C'mon, people. Disagree with the man all you like, but stop trying to get him riled up by f^ing with his screen name (or other juvenile BS).
JStranger76 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 The thing is Lori he has tried getting the board riled up in making such clear cut assinine comments. He (or she) knows it too. I'll back off the screen name thing though only cause you're cool.
AJ1 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Once again, not even close. Tracy Porter is the best corner from this Draft hands down, and Leodis isn't even close. Nice going Bills FO!!!!!!!!!!!! Once again, a post by some teenage know-it-all who just happens to be twice as smart as the Bills FO. I wish the mods had a smart-ass detector and these posts would be instantly deleted.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Once again, not even close. Tracy Porter is the best corner from this Draft hands down, and Leodis isn't even close. Nice going Bills FO!!!!!!!!!!!! Who is Tracy porter?
Ramius Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Who is Tracy porter? Some random 2nd round CB who got burned by the skins and cost the Saints that game.
