SouthernMan
My wife is the bridesmaid in a wedding next Sunday during the Bills game (Fountainhead in New Rochelle/Scarsdale near NYC). No clue why they would schedule a wedding on a Sunday during football. Does anyone know the AM or FM radio station in the NYC area to catch the Bills game? Or any nearby bars that may have the game? I plan on wiring a headphone in my ear at the ceremony. I am also open to disappearing to find a nearby bar. I have not missed a Bills game in person or on TV since 1996. Not about to miss this one. Please let me know if you can help!!! I think it really comes down to this: how close are you to the bride & groom? If you're all close friends who couple up and will be socially engaged in coming years, you need to be there. On the other hand, if these people are some infrequent aquaintances - maybe your wife works with he bride and you barely know them, opt out. If she's in the wedding, she'll be escorted by her male counterpart during the ceremony. She'll be sitting at he head table with the wedding party. Depending upon how well you know these people, you maybe relegated to a table in the back with Aunt Mllie and her farting husband. Some fun. What times are the wedding/reception? Can you make an effort and still catch the game? i.e. - go for the ceremony but skip the reception. Or, show up around 7:30 after the game's over and give your wife a couple of dances and a ride home. You might even get lucky after she sees you in your Sunday best. Of course, you'll have your Bills jersey on under the shirt and jacket.

In-A-Gadda-Levitre
There is no need for such a card; all laptops these days have wireless connectivity built in--yes, even the cheapest of the cheap. laptop wireless connectivity only works in wifi hotspots and the chances of getting a signal to something you could actually connect to at a wedding reception are slim. IQ is right, the broadband cards are much better since those carriers have built out a relatively good coverage map in order to sell these services to business customers. Captain Quint
All this week, just relieve yourself in your pants when you're around your wife. There's no way she'll want you to go to the wedding if you're crapping your pants all week. It'll get messy, and she'll probably never look at you the same, but you'll be at home watching the Bills game on Sunday.

Gordio
dude, welcome to the rest of america...where football is a game and not the only thing you consider when scheduling your wedding. the best bills experience is at McFaddens in NYC, but that is not an option when in Scarsdale. there are plenty of sports bars in westchester, but in all likelyhood there will be no sound on the Bills/Cards game. suck it up...like many of us have to ... TiVo it...life will not end without football...but your life might if you try to watch the game instead of going to the wedding Bullschitt - man up grow a set & tell her your staying home & watching the game & if she does not like it too bad. When the Mets were playing the Braves in the NLCS back in 1999 my wife was standing up in her friends wedding. When I found out the selfish bride refused to have any tvs on at the bar because she thought it would take away from her special day I told my wife I would stay @ the reception until 7:30 & then I am leaving. She thought I was joking but sure enough @ 7:30 I got up right in the middle of dinner when up to the head table, kissed my wife on the cheek & left. My wife did not talk to me for 2 weeks after that but till this day I do not regret it. There was a presidence set that night. She learned that when it comes to sports I will not be bullied into missing my favorite teams play. Just tell her you are not going. You will be a better man for it. She knows what she married into - the Bills are a big part of our life, but she probably won't understand. There's a bar that has Sunday Ticket about 1.5 miles away from the reception hall. I either go there or listen to it on my phone. Either way I am not going to miss this game or any game for that matter.

You just got to ask yourself is watching the game worth having your wife mad at you for the next few weeks? If it is then I would say blow off the wedding. If it is not, catch the highlights on Sportscenter later that night.
