The Federal Gov't has collections of seeds, root cuttings etc for citizens of the US. Some of them say they are intended for research purposes only, but to date I have ordered and received several Hop plant cuttings, a whole messload of pepper seeds, and am in the process of looking at 'maters and other garden essentials.
