ET1062 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Spent five minutes gushing about the team, Edwards, Whitner, Lynch.
TheMadCap Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 That's nice but I can't listen to more than about five minutes of that "show"...
inkman Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 That's nice but I can't listen to more than about five minutes of that "show"... It's not for everybody...
extrahammer Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Rome has good interviews, but when he goes on his soap box he just repeats the same thing about 20 times. Oh yeah, and he does that honk sound a lot.
The Senator Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Rome is hit 'n'miss - sometimes hysterically funny, other times hard to tolerate, but he's been heapin' some love on the Bills of late - even last season - so that obviously makes him a better - and smarter - guy, IMHO. GO BILLSSS!!!! 19 and 0 baby!!!!!
BuckeyeBill Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Hello, what is up? Thank you for tuning in to Rome is burning, I'm Jim Rome and we have an excellent Thursday show for you today. Does he have to start his TV show the SAME WAY, EVERY SINGLE TIME?!?!?!?

ricojes Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Spent five minutes gushing about the team, Edwards, Whitner, Lynch. Tough crowd here! Starting the show the same way, big deal. I grew up with "It's 11 o'clock, do you know where your children are", so I guess it doesn't phase me. But, I heard it as well. He mentioned that he see's this as being the Bills year with a wide open East. Said Trent is special, Lynch is tough, Defense is very good, and it's a well coached team. It was nice to hear for a change. GO BILLS!!!
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Rome has good interviews, but when he goes on his soap box he just repeats the same thing about 20 times. Oh yeah, and he does that honk sound a lot. This past summer, I had to fill 2 hours of sports talk content on WVBR 93.5 Ithaca every Sunday, all by myself. Jim Rome does more than that pretty much every day. Take it from me, repetition helps. I don't fault him for it, and I have nothing but respect for what the guy does even if I don't agree with him much of the time.
EndZoneCrew Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Spent five minutes gushing about the team, Edwards, Whitner, Lynch. Rack em!
/dev/null Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If a tree falls in the woods on Jim Rome, does anybody care?

And I do share the same viewpoint about Rosie O Donnell as him.
ET1062 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 He has been making fun of "Home Brew Guy" all day, classic!
