truth on hold Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 LT is not a dominant back. He's not the type you can keep handing it to and ride him. He is not strong enough to run up the middle. And he runs too tall to have great lateral movement. He is great on screen plays, I grant you. But that's it. His TDs are mostly the product of defenses having to defend a superior TE in Gates. Favre is not a "modern QB" in the sense of Manning or Brady who read defenses and make adjustments. He basically plays a "pickup" game where he locks on guys and plays, tries to force the ball in when he should throw it away and all too often throws "Hail Mary" jump balls. He hasn't played in a Super Bowl in over a decade. And his record there is 1 & 1. He came up flat in last year's Conference Final against the Giants at home. Other than his longevity record which I grant is amazing, I find nothing extraordinary about him. Packers had a better view of this than anyone and it's no wonder they let him leave.
inkman Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 LT is not a dominant back. Am I the only one thinking ?
jayg Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 No. He's not 100% either. Am I the only one thinking ?

NOBODY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO POST WHILE SMOKING CRACK!!!
ans4e64 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Name me a player who is dominant during an NFL game when they can barely walk during the week? Do you follow football? Do you know the injuries LT is battling with right now? Don't you think playing at "75%" that he's not going to be "dominant"?
Bmwolf21 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Am I the only one thinking ? Nope, you're not alone on that one.

MartyBall4Buffalo Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Am I the only one thinking ? No you're not, but on the opposite end of that. I think it's fair to question LT's toughness, and suppoused leadership. Rivers has taken over as the main cog in that offense. LT meanwhile looks like he's always sulking, with nagging injuries
inkman Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 MODS! NOBODY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO POST WHILE SMOKING CRACK!!! What about that really dank chronic sh-- type of tree?
Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 What about that really dank chronic sh-- type of tree? Present!
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Prediction: Favre retires during this regular season. "I want to thank the Jest organization but it's time to call it quits."
Steely Dan Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 What about that really dank chronic sh-- type of tree? Mary Jane doesn't impair one's judgment like Crack does!!
The Dean Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Am I the only one thinking ? Dude shouldn't be playing tonight. You aren't alone on that one.
truth on hold Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Name me a player who is dominant during an NFL game when they can barely walk during the week? Do you follow football? Do you know the injuries LT is battling with right now? Don't you think playing at "75%" that he's not going to be "dominant"? Now that he's out of LT's shadow, Michael Turner is tearing up the league on a vastly inferior Falcons team. And the Bolts incredible playoff comeback in Indy happened with LT watching from the sidelines. I'm sorry, I'm not going to join in and worship LT when he doesn't deserve it. And as I write this he picks up another garbage, stat-padding TD.
Steely Dan Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Yep, That #21 on the Chargers sucks. Maybe this will help him. BTW, the only bad judgments I've made while shmokin a doobie is how much food to buy.
truth on hold Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Turner thru 3 games in ATL: 366 Yds Avg/Game 122.0 5 TDs If LT were there not only would he not match those #'s, he'd be sulking all the time. Best in league? No way.
