CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers rookie linebacker Dan Connor will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Connor will be placed on injured reserve, but the Panthers on Monday had not immediately signed another player to take his roster spot.

Connor was injured in Sunday's loss to Minnesota and was carted to the locker room.

A third-round pick from Penn State, Connor played on special teams in the first three games.

Rookie LB from Penn State goes down in week 3 with a season ending injury... sound familiar?

I wish the kid the best of luck. I speak from experience when I say ACL(and MCL) injuries suck.

Sad thing is an ACL tear has much more profound impact on a LB than a broken arm. Hopefully this doesnt slow him down too much as the kid has a tremendous amount of talent. I would have loved to see Connor and Poz in Buffalo together, but it wasn't in the cards

It's a very bad injury for him, especially since he wasn't fast to begin with.

I hear they've signed his wife Roseanne to take his place...

What?

She's probably bigger than Connor.
