Hawai'i Now a battleground state

Recommended Posts

Per the Honolulu adviser, Bush leads Hawaii 43.3% to 42.6% in a 2 person race. Nader is currently in court trying to get on the ballot in hawaii, where he drew over 5% of the vote in 2000. This is a state gore won by 19%, and a state that is very democratic. These 4 electoral votes could make things VERY interesting if bush takes hawaii (and also could make election night VERY VERY late...)

The incumbent president has only 43.3% of the vote in a Democratic state. More than likely Kerry will get at least 60% of the 15% undecided.

Well, I dont know if that is necessarily true in this case. Remember Hawaii has alot of military members and family (who overwhelmingly support the war).

I also dont believe in the undecideds breaking against the incumbent. This is such a democratic state, why cant the democrats commit to voting for kerry? There must be something they dont like.

I dont expect hawaii to go to bush, but its very interesting its that close.
