Steely Dan
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/09/16/...lls-at-jaguars/ How’d the Bills do it in Week 2? I felt after Week 1 that QB Trent Edwards was doing a nice job of managing the team and keeping things under control for his offense. He was efficient in his performance against the Seahawks, but was downright effective against the Jaguars. Edwards passed for 20 of 25, 239 yards, and 1 TD, while avoiding any interceptions (he did lose a fumble). Buffalo moved the chains with a short passing game that also kept them out of too many third-and-long situations (KEY #1). The Bills put together scoring drives of 11 and 12 plays that led to 10-3 halftime advantage. As a result they held onto the ball 17:59 of the first half, faced third and long three times throughout the game, and converted a total 6 of 11 third downs for 55%. :pirate:
Lofton80
Compare that to last year. We were proboably last in the league in third down conversions.
marauderswr80
Play calling has been the biggest difference for the offense.
DrDawkinstein
Play calling has been the biggest difference for the offense. while i dont dispute that statement for a second, i WILL say that the second biggest difference (not too far behind the first) is having a QB that can lead the offense and make good decisions and execute plays as he is supposed to.
