nuklz2594 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 At what point do we try to keep him or trade him? If he is gone who do we replace him with?
Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 At what point do we try to keep him or trade him? If he is gone who do we replace him with? Why would we trade a very capable back up QB?
murra Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Why would we trade a very capable back up QB? How many of these stupid threads are we going to have this year? We're not trading JP because if we could get anything good for him, we'd already have dealt him.
Orton's Arm Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Why would we trade a very capable back up QB? Because we're 14 regular season games away from having him walk in free agency and get nothing in return. If some team like the Vikings offered us a 3rd round pick plus Frerotte, I say we pull the trigger.

If some team like the Vikings offered us a 3rd round pick plus Frerotte, I say we pull the trigger. Edwards was injury prone in College and has had his share of injuries the past year... At 2-0 having JP guide us for 2-3 games is better than many of the alternatives that dont know our offense. It has been too many years since the playoffs... A third round pick.. is a small price to pay. No thanks. I will be just fine with losing him next season..

If some team like the Vikings offered us a 3rd round pick plus Frerotte, I say we pull the trigger. That's totally unrealistic. You expect some team to offer us a veteran QB and a mid/high round draft pick for Losman, who got benched in favor of an unknown rookie last season? They would need to like him enough to sign him upfront to a long term deal, otherwise it makes absolutely no sense. But who would sign him to a long term deal weeks before he learns the playbook well enough to even step on the field? That's crazy.

This team has depth at must every position and we are rich are QB. Quit trying to trade JP. !@#$, maybe he even resigns. Don't quit your day jobs people. Let Brandon be the GM

Let Brandon be the GM You realize you're rebutting someone who still thinks Kelly Holcomb would be a better QB than JP?

What do you mean unknown. He is the next Tom Brady and Payton Manning.Plus Walsh told them to draft him.
WellDressed Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Trade him for what? Well, you can never have too many CB's.
thebug Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 What do you mean unknown. He is the next Tom Brady and Payton Manning.Plus Walsh told them to draft him. We are in good shape then because Losman is the next Favre, right? Go Bills!
devldog131 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Well, you can never have too many CB's. We don't trade for befensive backs, we draft them in the first round, remember? especially if they come from Ohio State.
stephenjames716 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 get over the trade of JP people....he is an awesome number 2 if god forbid something happens to trent. he knows the offense and would gel with the team if/when he got put in there.
LabattBlue Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 IMO, there is little chance Losman gets traded. He will remain the backup until the end of the year and then will move on to a new team.
EndZoneCrew Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 At what point do we try to keep him or trade him? Hang on to him....no reason to rid ourselves of him unless he "rocks the boat" If he is gone who do we replace him with? Stan Gable?
Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Stan Gable? Joe Kane is better IMO.
EndZoneCrew Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Joe Kane is better IMO. What about Al Bundy?
Hazed and Amuzed Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 What about Al Bundy? He was a RB.
