murra
Why would we trade a very capable back up QB? How many of these stupid threads are we going to have this year? We're not trading JP because if we could get anything good for him, we'd already have dealt him.
CJPearl2
Trade him for what?
Orton's Arm
Why would we trade a very capable back up QB? Because we're 14 regular season games away from having him walk in free agency and get nothing in return. If some team like the Vikings offered us a 3rd round pick plus Frerotte, I say we pull the trigger.

At 2-0 having JP guide us for 2-3 games is better than many of the alternatives that dont know our offense. It has been too many years since the playoffs... A third round pick.. is a small price to pay. No thanks. I will be just fine with losing him next season..

If some team like the Vikings offered us a 3rd round pick plus Frerotte, I say we pull the trigger. That's totally unrealistic. You expect some team to offer us a veteran QB and a mid/high round draft pick for Losman, who got benched in favor of an unknown rookie last season? They would need to like him enough to sign him upfront to a long term deal, otherwise it makes absolutely no sense. But who would sign him to a long term deal weeks before he learns the playbook well enough to even step on the field? That's crazy.

This team has depth at must every position and we are rich are QB. Quit trying to trade JP. !@#$, maybe he even resigns. Don't quit your day jobs people. WellDressed
Trade him for what? Well, you can never have too many CB's.

devldog131
Well, you can never have too many CB's. We don't trade for befensive backs, we draft them in the first round, remember? especially if they come from Ohio State.
stephenjames716
get over the trade of JP people....he is an awesome number 2 if god forbid something happens to trent. he knows the offense and would gel with the team if/when he got put in there. LabattBlue
IMO, there is little chance Losman gets traded. He will remain the backup until the end of the year and then will move on to a new team.
