Case close libitards?

Case has been closed on a lot of these issues that belong to liberalism:

-Long-term financial viability

-Patriotic understanding of the founding fathers in regards to liberties, spending and big gov't

-Destruction of personal responsibility in the justice system and financially

-High taxes and regulation that destroy manufacturing and production type businesses

Liberalism is suicide financially, morally, and demographically. The fact you found spies isn't newsworthy when you have politicians who do much worse openly.

Are we once again citing the Opinion page as facts?

I know, right.

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed 55 years ago, on June 19, 1953. But last week, they were back in the headlines when Morton Sobell, the co-defendant in their famous espionage trial, finally admitted that he and his friend, Julius, had both been Soviet agents.

It was a stunning admission; Sobell, now 91 years old, had adamantly maintained his innocence for more than half a century. After his comments were published, even the Rosenbergs' children, Robert and Michael Meeropol, were left with little hope to hang on to -- and this week, in comments unlike any they've made previously, the brothers acknowledged having reached the difficult conclusion that their father was, indeed, a spy. "I don't have any reason to doubt Morty," Michael Meeropol told Sam Roberts of the New York Times.

Junk like that is fine for a writer to opine on, but most people require a higher standard than a mere admission of guilt from one of the principle parties. I have as much or more respect for old people than anyone but let's face it, they can't even remember where they put their keys. Now we expect them to remember something like betraying their country and getting American pilots shot down?:unsure::( This old fart is not qualified to call the poor Rosenbergs spies just because he spied with them.

I just love labels like liberal or conservative. How many people really meet either definition. I would say that on many social issues I am "liberal" however on many fiscal issues I am "conservative" however there are numerous "liberal" issues that I totally disagree with as well as many "conservative" issues. The problem we have is most of the noise comes from 5% of the left and 5 % of the right and the rest of us get to hear the bullsheet.

I would say most fit the definition if they are applied properly. I would say all those who ran for the primary, except Kucinich, was a liberal. I would consider everyone who ran for Republican office, except Paul, a liberal who favors soft-fascism (gov't and business in bed).

I would say most people on main-street are not easily defined.

What a bunch of crap. So legions of left wingers are arguing their innocents? And all this writer can come up with is some right wing freek that did a "study" and half a sentence from the great Eric Foner? And Foner's half sentence is no dobt taken out of context. I don't ever remember reading anthing about their guilt being in doubt. There were questions about Ethel being snuffed out, but that's all.

What this is is an attempt to make McCarthyism seem like not a problem, like no big deal. Perhaps this writer should track down the names on McCarthy's list of 205 members of the communist party in the state department---oh, that's right, he never made that "list" public. :pirate:
