Chilly
Does this count? Let me know when it starts to matter because this could be the beginning of a trend, or so it would appear. No, because that's New Jersey. The NJ polls have been getting very mixed results. There have been five polls since the start of September. Two of the polls (Quinnipac and Marist) were within the MOE at Obama +3, while three others were right at the average for New Jersey since March or so (+6, +8, +9 for Obama). Remember as well that the polls being released were in the field last week, so they include McCain's post-convention bounce. If you look at the polls from last year at this time, they had a similar tightening of the race, and then we saw what happened: Kerry +6.
/dev/null
McCain has as much chance of winning New York as I have walking into my bedrom to find a scantily clad Scarelett Johanson holding a champagne bottle in one hand and the winning MegaMillions ticket in the other

PastaJoe
Tell that to David Dinkins and Carl McCall. What do they call New York Republicans in the South? Liberals.
