H2o
Remember a couple of years ago when Rutgers emerged, Louisville was a strong contender, USF was just starting to come up, and all was well at WVU. All the announcers were saying, "The Big East is back!" Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The only GOOD team in the Big East this year is USF. They are on the decline again. Pitt was supposed to be something this year, but no. The sad thing is that a team will get an automatic BCS bid from this conference. If USF holds up and only loses 1 or 2 games at the most, they will be deserving. I don't know about any of the other teams though. It just goes to show the consistency of conferences like the SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12. It's hard to remain a top conference in the NCAA these days. Look at the ACC for instance. They've been falling apart since BC entered. Miami and FSU are not the programs they once were, VT is falling off, and their hyped teams going into every new season are nothing more than a vapor in the wind (Check out possible BCS title contender Clemson). Parody in NCAA football? In a sense, yes.
Ramius
You're mistaken if you think Miami and FSU will be down for long. The ACC is in a down swing now, but in a couple of years, they'll be back again battling with the big boys. And there's a reason why we commonly refer to them as the Clemson Paper Tigers.
