lets_go_bills Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 Youboty looked like he was the only guy who could make tackles out there. He layed some big hits, especially for a little guy. He rocked Williams and Garrard. Not to mention that killer sack.
Bleed Bills Blue Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Trent came of age today. Well put.
Pete Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Youboty and Jackson. Honorable mention to Trent
Bmwolf21 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I also nominate an honorary game ball for Jack Del Rio - thanks for choosing the dark jerseys today, Jack. Heck, why not go all the way and wear your black alternate unis? I hate the white jerseys, but if the guys were even one degree cooler in the road whites than they would have been in the darks, then they are OK by me.

Del Rio. Then he went for an onside kick with a 10-10 score.
bills7834 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I've always hated Jack "I'm 'Roiding out!" Del Rio. Then he went for an onside kick with a 10-10 score. It worked. Do you think it was a bad play call?
rastabillz Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 A come from behind TD drive late in the game on the road against a playoff team. Edwards definetly gets my game ball today. This should be a huge confidence builder for him. That 3rd and 9 throw to Evans was a back breaker.
ax4782 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Trent Edwards. 20-25 239 1TD. That speaks for itself. He looked like OUR QB today. Jackson definitely deserves a nod as well, and on D, Youboty showed why it was a good thing that we didn't trade him. Great tackler in the open field.
murra Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 It worked. Do you think it was a bad play call? It certainly didn't make me like him any more...
Flutie Flakes Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I have to agree with the consensus...Fast Freddy Jackson, Ashton Youboty on D (great open field tackles....he may need to put on a clinic for some of our other players), and Trent Edwards who remained composed throughout and played like the field general we have been waiting a long time for. GO BILLS!!!!
Bmwolf21 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 It certainly didn't make me like him any more... It was a very gutsy call at that point in the game, and he caught the league's best special teams unit napping. I'm no fan of Del Rio but that onside kick was a great call, IMO.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I thought Trent was excellent today. And his pass to Hardy was a great ball. But Hardy, because he is Hardy, is the guy who made that play. Some players have a nose for the endzone and ability to score touchdowns. Hardy proved it in college and he seemingly has showed it immediately in the pros. That was a fabulous play. if he is not 6'5" he doesnt make that play.
Kipers Hair Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Ashton Yobouty - Early call for Defensive player of the year...
Astrobot Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Terrence McGee, who is tied for 2nd in INT's after 2 weeks. Lee Evans, whose 8 catches for 179 yards (22.4 ypc) is just obscene. And Trent Edwards. His 80% completion percentage moved the chains and let the D rest just enough.
Dan Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Defensively: Youboty. He was solid in coverage. Seemed to be the only guy that could tackle. And he had a great sack. Offensively: Trent. He was everything you want a QB to be. The big throw to Evans was clutch. That was a critical time in the game - late 4th quarter, down by 6, 3rd down and long. The game was on his shoulders and he delivered big time. The Hardy throw was good, but if incomplete, we still had chances. Hardy's catch, Jackson's RAC - both would not be possible without great throws by Edwards. Great game on the road. **Honorable mention: Langston Walker. He seemed to play the whole game shifting back and forth from RT to LT (when Peters went out for a breather). How often do you see a guy shifting from RT to LT throughout a game like that and not make and major mistakes? Whomever has said he's over paid, should apologize. The guy has been worth every penny since he got here, especially this year with Peter's nonsense.
Hammered a Lot Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Sorry. I was a little pre-occupied. My dentist for the Hydrocodone and to Beer.
