John Adams Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 20-25 239, TD, fumble. Well done. Best thing is how unbelievably calm TE and Schonert were after running only 5 plays in the 3rd Q. They just kept to the plan. Trent's compsure late in the game won and then sealed it. For a near-rookie, he is very good. Still not a lot of deep shots but he runs a WCO (with shotgun) offense very well.
mead107 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Looking good / Can not wait till next week . GO BILLS
zow2 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Phenomenol poise and accuracy. HE looks to be the best young QB in the NFL right now. On the big Lee Evans 3rd down bomb, he stepped up in the pocket at the last second just like a Brady or Manning.
Bmwolf21 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I am much, much more impressed with Trent this year than I was last year. I think the extra year of experience helps, the offensive line helps, and Turk's gameplanning and playcalling really helps.
MarkyMannn Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 20-25 239, TD, fumble. I Disagree Edwards: 20-25 239, TD Jason Peters: fumble Just kidding.........sort of

On the big Lee Evans 3rd down bomb, he stepped up in the pocket at the last second just like a Brady or Manning. That was a thing of extreme beauty.!!!!

On the big Lee Evans 3rd down bomb, he stepped up in the pocket at the last second just like a Brady or Manning. Agreed. I was extremely impressed with his pocket presence on that pass -- he felt the rush and made a nice little move up and to his left to buy himself some room and time, all while keeping his eyes downfield. Very impressive play.
John Adams Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 His use of the pocket is masterful. It makes the lineman's job so much easier because they know where he is.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Im sold That was a playoff QB on the field today and im not talking about Gerard
Saint Doug Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Trent did a heck of a job. He is still learning, but his pocket presence and decision making are fantastic. In the end, he got the job done against a great defense.
Captain Hindsight Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Were you in the chat room? There were dudes in there knocking Edwards play today....unreal. As on of JP's biggest fans it is clear to me now that Trent is the right guy for this team That was a tremendous performance today But im keeping my fan club
KD in CA Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 The pass to Evans was the single biggest play of his career to date. Parcells would have called it a 'diaper throw', as in, he graduated out of diapers on that one. Way to go Trent...game ball to the QB.
bisonbrigade Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Trent Edwards = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ JP who? No more QB controversy!!!
crackur Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 its been along time bill fans........that we have a position secured........tis beautiful
VABills Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Trent Edwards = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ JP who? No more QB controversy!!! You know you bring up a good point. Does Trent pull a Jason Peters next year. After all, as a 3rd rounder he is getting paid crap, and as the starting Qb on the playoff bound Bills we should re-sign him now.

Trent is a not a panicker...he may not be Dan Marino with the arm..lol....but I'll take him after the crap QBing we have had to deal with since Flutie left.

Good QBs are in short supply. I imagine he's gonna get 55 million for 6 years...don't laugh..
MarkAF43 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I still am a big fan of Losman, however I agree, Trent looked good and very confident, and he is the best man to lead this team right now. He makes the good throws and is making the big plays when they are needed. Go Bills!!!!!!
Orton's Arm Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I was thrilled with the way Trent Edwards played! He played like a top-10 QB who's trying to get into the top 5. We had to have good production from the QB position to win that game, and we got it. If Trent continues to play at this level, the Bills will finally have found Kelly's successor.
