lets_go_bills
What is it with these guys? As soon as they start acting like babies, their moms publicly come to their rescue. First, Felicia Young spoke up for her son Vince, the Titans QB. Now comes Christine Johnson, mother of Larry, the Chiefs RB, courtesy of KansasCity.com: "He's not mad at the world. People have thought that and I just think he's misunderstood. He's not mad. He's just guarded sometimes and he also has a great passion for football. That passion can be misunderstood. He just has a different personality." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/foot...cker/index.html

Bullpen
Grown men and millionaires don't need their moms to go to bat for them when they're upset. In all honesty, I seriously doubt either had their moms going to bat for them. If I'm a journalist and I can get the same cliche ridden quote from either athlete am I going to go that route... or am I going to go the much less media-savvy mother and see if I can get her to make some emotionally-wrought statements?
