ExiledInIllinois
BEWARE: Dumbest thread ever below! What is the difference between a hockey mom in Alaska and one in Arizona? About $100,000 difference in annual income. Boooo, that was bad I know... But IMO, hockey is an expensive, elitist sport outside of the Great White North... Especially "rink time" in the warmer climates. What is the difference between Jesus "The Messiah" and Pontius Pilate? One was a community organizer, the other a governor. x2 Boooo. Hey, what can I say? I still don't understand or get how being associated with a pit bull is flattering? The "brutality" abounds in American. Pandering down is surely in vogue, why can't we pander up? I think what is indicative and fundementally wrong in this country can be summed up by what I overheard at my child's school yesterday... One parent telling a child: "If Obama becomes President, kids will be going to school for all 12 months of the year." I thought to myself: "Self, ahhhh... That's not a bad idea!... Maybe math, science, and logical thinking skills will be on the rise?" Can someone explain and help me out, I am exposed to too much faith based education... Which in itself is not a bad thing (I made The Messiah Joke... I knew who the Gov. was).

INRI was also "the joke" by the Barrabas chanting masses. What you don't see the connection to the Republicans keeping the staus quo and appealing to the masses as Gov. Pilate ( Palin) is doing? At least that Gov. saw his shame and returned to Rome to be eventually beheaded... Pilate, Palin... Kinda sounds the same. And yes, The Messiah thing is fitting... I kind of like it... Let's see what the masses think about that nickname... If God had a name what would it be? And would you call it to his face? If you were faced with Him in all His glory What would you ask if you had just one question? 1-And yeah, yeah, God is great Yeah, yeah, God is good yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah What if God was one of us? Just a slob like one of us Just a stranger on the bus Tryin' to make his way home? If God had a face what would it look like? And would you want to see if, seeing meant That you would have to believe in things like heaven And in Jesus and the saints, and all the prophets? Back up to heaven all alone No, nobody calling on the phone No, just tryin' to make his way home Nobody calling on the phone 'Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome And no... I don't believe that Obama is the savior... He does represent a socialized change that can be dramatic in shifting who gets placed first in our system... A sort of triage for the disadvantaged. olivier in france
And in Jesus and the saints, and all the prophets? are you sure this is the right lyrics? I always thought it was "in Jesus and the Saints, and all the profits"! Which is a lot different but add a welcome critic of the "god-business" loving catholic church... ExiledInIllinois
Man you should visit the Vatican one day, just to checK.... Ya... You think it would trickle down to the local parish... I pay a pretty penny sending my children to school, saving the state money having to educate them while I still send my tax dollars into the school district... In the grand scheme, no sweat off my back.
olivier in france
Ya... You think it would trickle down to the local parish... it's the same in all global companies... Sparkling Headquarters for the Public relations /communications/ marketing stuff and dirty crumbling local outlets for the backoffice guys....
