KnightRider Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 just heard on radio... Link Brady to miss rest of season The Patriots just announced that Tom Brady will have season-ending surgery on his left knee. "After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of (Sunday's) game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season." -- Mike Petraglia (Sept. 8, 2:45 p.m.)
RayFinkle Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I guess that means he'll be downgraded from questionable to doubtful next week.
bartshan-83 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I guess that means he'll be downgraded from questionable to doubtful next week. Well played...
Beerball Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 You know what I heard on my way in this morning...sorry if this is common knowledge, it wasn't to me. This past week was the first time in forever that Tommy* was not on the pats* official injury report. As others have said, karma is a B word.
KnightRider Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, when asked if the hit was dirty, Belichick just compared the hit to the one Wilfork laid on Losman last year...
MattyT Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, when asked if the hit was dirty, Belichick just compared the hit to the one Wilfork laid on Losman last year... Compare how? Admitting that they were, or weren't dirty? (I'm assuming not dirty.)
nucci Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I guess that means he'll be downgraded from questionable to doubtful next week. Not necessarily. May be a game-time decision.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Surprisingly, having Tedi Bruschi lay his hands on Brady's knee did not help. PTR
The Big Cat Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Surprisingly, having Tedi Bruschi lay his hands on Brady's knee did not help. PTR No, but Brady did fart a baby angel as a result.
Beerball Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 this news has cast a pall upon my day. I KNOW Peter King, and you sir are no Peter King.
Nervous Guy Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I KNOW Peter King, and you sir are no Peter King. what? you saying I ain't got pall...I got pall...and plenty of it!
leh-nerd skin-erd Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Wow, when asked if the hit was dirty, Belichick just compared the hit to the one Wilfork laid on Losman last year... more reason to hate him.
Ramius Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 what? you saying I ain't got pall...I got pall...and plenty of it! How many times has that fat tub of sh-- co-worker of yours had to change his tampon today because of the news?
eball Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 As much as I have grown to loathe the Pats*, I feel badly for Brady. On a personal level, having your season taken away from you after so much preparation and anticipation must completely suck. As for the rest of the Pats* and their bandwagon fans -- screw 'em.
Chef Jim Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Surprisingly, having Tedi Bruschi lay his hands on Brady's knee did not help. PTR No prior to that the injury was thought to be life threatening.
Realist Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 This may sound callous, but I don't feel bad about Brady. Season ending injuries happen all the time in football, this time it happened to him, just because he is a name player doesn't make me feel sorry for him. An injury like Kevin Everett had last year that ends your career, yeah, I feel horrible for Everett. But Brady will be back next year. How many players are on the Bills IR this year or IR's around the league.
