Fingon Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 IMO, this pretty much cements ours and the jets playoff spots... we went from 0 wins against NE to a very good chance of sweeping them. The question becomes, who will win the AFC east, the Jets or us? Those two extra wins will come in handy.
deep2evans Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Lets not get carried away. We look like a solid squad, but it's only 1 week.
Andrew in CA Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 True. After the 2003 opener 31-0 over the P*ts, I thought we were a playoff lock. We'll know who we are in a month.
Catholic Guilt Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Toast. The Pats are done. Look at what happened to a decent Carolina team last year when Delhomme was injuried. They imploded. The same will happen to our friends in New England.
Deep Voice Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Lets not get carried away. We look like a solid squad, but it's only 1 week. Yea
drnykterstein Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Lets not get carried away. We look like a solid squad, but it's only 1 week. Ya. Where did that Catharsis thread run off to?
StupidNation Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I think the greatest effect is that I know for a fact they aren't winning the Superbowl this year and the genius over in NE will look pedestrian.

Big Turk Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I think it basically takes the AFC East from the Patriots being champs and everyone else playing for 2nd place to a completely wide open division where any of 3 teams(Pats,Jets,Bills---sorry Fins, you still suck) can win it... Also basically takes 2 sure losses off the Bills schedule and replaces them with very winnable games...

When you break down the individual positions, NE has no clear edge anywhere over both the Bills & Jets except maybe for DL. Should be interesting.
bisonbrigade Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 The Bills path to perfection "19-0". I can dream cant I. I will settle for 11-5 divisional winners.

DDD Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I'm not counting Brady as "done" until the doctors, NOT reporters, say so. If he does go on IR, why can't the Bills win the division? It looks like Stroud will have a major impact on D.
