webtoe Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 With the way the line played today... That said, I can't wait till he gets back and the line really starts to roll!!!
ans4e64 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Not starting, but I expect to see him in some power and goal-line packages. Maybe a wrinkle or two with a pass, and starting the following week.
John from Riverside Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 To bad for Chambers....who is playing REALLY well......
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Chambers did a great job on pass protection against kerney really kept the heat off and most of the time 1 on 1
colin Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 put him in at TE. the slow jags dline will get wrapped up trying to be physical, and we crush them.
JasoninMT Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 If nothing else... we just showed ourselves that we have a solid backup at worst! What an incredible performance today against a "premier" defense (in their own mind anyways).
ndirish1978 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Very good game by Chambers. I'm glad too because Peters had to sit on the sidelines and watch his O-line do great without him.
Astrobot Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Not only Chambers, but I watched Brad Butler do a fine job. We have a line and a backup or two.
UConn James Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Very good game by Chambers. I'm glad too because Peters had to sit on the sidelines and watch his O-line do great without him. I hope the performance was enough to get him . The OL played better today than almost all of last year (maybe the Cincy game) when our supposed 'best' player was in there. The run blocking was better than I've seen in a long time, especially on the Lynch TD that went left side. Yes, JP, you probably should've come back a little sooner. Looks like you and Parker just lost a little more leverage. Maybe we should stick with Walker at LT and put JP back at right... then he won't be underpaid anymore.
jarthur31 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 J-ville's heat & humidity and all. Heck maybe not even for the Oakland game. Let's get Jason ready for week 4. Of course, he'll be activated for week 3 but he can sit n watch and enjoy.
puppet Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I like the idea of having Peters play as a TE in Jacksonville. He can be eased into the offense and might even catch a ball or two.
murra Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I like the idea of having Peters play as a TE in Jacksonville. He can be eased into the offense and might even catch a ball or two. Would we have to change his number?
Trader Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I hope the performance was enough to get him . Looks like you and Parker just lost a little more leverage. Maybe we should stick with Walker at LT and put JP back at right... then he won't be underpaid anymore. The OL combination we have right now is the best the OL has played since the Super bowl years. Peters is a great individual player but the OL is all about team. He will have to wait until there is a problem or an injury to go back in. In the meantime he can work on his conditioning and technique. Line him up at TE on the goal line.
todd Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 He'll be dressed but won't start. J-ville's heat & humidity and all.
lets_go_bills Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 They got a week of practice. If he's in shape, he may be a go. Hopefully he gets some good reps in. I'm still gonna boo him when he's introduced at the Ralph though.
BillsWatch Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Would we have to change his number? If they don't he'd have to report each time to refs and Peters in not the smartest cookie. I like Chambers as a 6th offense linemen in max protect packages. Peters ought to start in an away game for I am hoping that home fans, other than the idiots who do the wave on offense, boo him.
nemhoff Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I don't think that he will be in shape...and I don't think that we need him next week.
