generaLee83 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Watching tonights game I can't help but think that Steve Fairchild is somehow calling plays for the Skins. -Runs up the middle when the line is stacked -Passes on 3rd down to receivers who are 10 yards away from the marker -Terrible 4th quarter clock/play management, 2 consecutive up the middle runs with less than 4 minutes left down by 9, really Steve? really? -Generally an offense that appears very contained and conservative

All game it's Run, Run, Pass...so predictable.
MattyT Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Unlikely Fairchild. I saw them run Play Action once.

On the other hand, when dis Kildrive get so smart?
thebug Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Clock management was terrible.....looked like they were playing a meaningless pre-season game. GO BILLS!
Wagon Circler Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Terrible clock mamagement. Obviously the no-huddle is a foreign concept. Quarterback doing the Kelly Holcomb checkdown on every play didn't help. How many times did they punt after a completed pass?

That offense looked very familiar. And the look on Zorn's face throughout the game was priceless, that guy might be in over his head.
MattyT Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I enjoyed the shot of Portis giving advice to Zorn on the sideline and Zorn lapping it up like a guy who was just learning about the game of football.
JK2000 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 AND WHERE THE !@#$ WAS YOUR PRO-BOWL TIGHT END?????
MattyT Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 AND WHERE THE !@#$ WAS YOUR PRO-BOWL TIGHT END????? THAT was a shocker. Total waste of talent. He sure wasn't blocking guys very effectively.
JK2000 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 THAT was a shocker. Total waste of talent. He sure wasn't blocking guys very effectively. I noticed that, Cooley looked like a high school kid when we was trying to block. Maybe he'd be better off as a Wes Welker/Wayne Chrebet type WR.
murra Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I noticed that, Cooley looked like a high school kid when we was trying to block. Maybe he'd be better off as a Wes Welker/Wayne Chrebet type WR. Are Wes Welker and Wayne Chrebet in the same category of receiver?
JK2000 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Are Wes Welker and Wayne Chrebet in the same category of receiver? Ya, white slot guys! I left out Tom Waddle.
ganesh Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 It just might be. On the other hand, when dis Kildrive get so smart? Actually, the Giants offense struggled equally after that 1st drive......The Redksins kind of gifted them 6 points after that.
ganesh Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 AND WHERE THE !@#$ WAS YOUR PRO-BOWL TIGHT END????? I guess there is no place for a H-BACK or TE in a true WC offense.
JK2000 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Actually, the Giants offense struggled equally after that 1st drive......The Redksins kind of gifted them 6 points after that. The NYG d-line looked amazing last night.
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 The true genius is having an owner that knows more than the football people around him.
