ricojes Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Bills linebacker Angelo Crowell is out for Sunday's game after deciding to have his knee scoped for a persistent knee problem. According to head coach Dick Jauron the decision "came out of the blue" as Crowell will have the surgery in the coming days. "He's out for the game and that's a surprise," said Jauron. It's not a major reconstructive surgery as the routine scope usually requires a 2-3 week rehab before returning to action. Jauron said Keith Ellison will step into the starting lineup to fill the void.

Koufax Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Shouldn't this have been considered and done early in the preseason? NO! We couldn't have taken on the Steelers without Angelo!
Bmwolf21 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 NO! We couldn't have taken on the Steelers without Angelo! Seriously, though - how much did he play and/or participate in the preseason? He (and the training staff/doctors) didn't know a couple weeks ago that this wasn't going to get much better and he was going to eventually need this scoped?

Exactly, why didn't her get this taken care of earlier
GhostsOfTheRockpile Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Plus, Posluszny has an ankle injury. Although both he and Jauron are optimistic he'll start Sunday.
Buffalo_soul-dier Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 f*cking unbelieveable....what was he doing all offseason?
bills_red Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Shouldn't this have been considered and done early in the preseason? not sh-- Crowell is dumb
WILLIS Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 dude wtf im pissed! for the first time ever i thought we were going to be going into a game 100% healthy will all of our big guns going strong. guess i thought wrong. so this will be a 2-3 week thing? so hes not back until week 4 at the earliest? this sucks a ton
Paup 1995MVP Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Crowell has a chronic knee condition which is only going to get worse over time. There is no way we are going to give him a long term extension when his long term existence as an NFL player is definitely in question. Wow, we are going to see a lot of Ellison and Digiorgio. It brings back bad dreams of last years defense.
VABills Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 He and Peters have some serious business together. They are going to sit around eating tweekies, and playing Madden. It's the only way either has any shot of making the playoffs.
Dan III Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Information that would have been more useful before we cut Spragan....
Bmwolf21 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 not sh-- Crowell is dumb I think this borders on a fine-able offense. Then again, if Peters continues his holdout into the season I want the Bills to go after everything they've given him - I even want his dog.
RayFinkle Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Information that would have been more useful before we cut Spragan.... He didn't sign with anybody after we cut him. I imagine his phone might start ringing shortly.
