WellDressed Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Hey, ya wanna to go DOWN to NORTH philly??
rockpile Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 We have to do something about when people take sick time. 40% of the time is being taken on Mondays and Fridays. I'll take really off topic for $500, Alex!
rockpile Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Back when my cousin graduated from RIT, his sister, also my cousin, is very ditzy. For anyone who doesn't know, RIT has some sort of program for the deaf, and a good percentage of the school is deaf. So we went out to dinner after the ceremony and were talking about all of the deaf people there, and the lady doing the signs at the ceremony for them. After we were talking about them, we realized the table sitting right behind us were deaf people from RIT, to which my cousin says, "Oh no... I feel bad, do you think they heard us?" I had a blind friend who asked for directions to the mens room. He had dark glasses on at night, and was walking carefully along the bar with a white tipped cane to guide him through the maze of chairs and tables. The person answered, "It's right over there".
Rook Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I had this conversation with my son this summer. He is 13 and to set the scene, he had been sent to bed 30 min prior... Son: Dad, can I have some Tums? Me: What's wrong that you feel you need Tums, are you feeling nauseated? Son: No. Me: Are you having really bad gas? Son: No. Me: Are you having diarrhea? Son: No. Me: If you aren't nauseated, having gas problems or diarrhea why do you feel you need Tums? Son: I just did 200 sit-ups in my room and my stomach hurts. Me: Go to bed you idiot.
