Fan in San Diego
The 1st string defense was getting pushed around and no pressure on the QB. I hope this is because Gray is sticking with a vanilla defense and not showing his cards to early.
BuffaloBob
I thought Posey got a sack and forced fumble. Was he not playing with the first team defense?

Nothing is nor will change from the bad nightmare, otherwise known as last season. Let me recap what you missed: 1.) Another piss poor performance from the offensive line 2.) Tightend, has anybody located a Bill's tightend in several years? The most unathletic and uninteresting group of tightends in the league. Mularkey should start. 3.) Lee Evans, certainly no Randy Moss; like other potentially great receivers he is going to need two to three years (i.e. Santana Moss or Freddie Mitchell type); bummer for Moulds because he is not getting younger. 4.) Bledsoe, why bother! This guy sucks and to think we coughed up a first rounder first this jackass. SIMPLY DONAHOE'S WORST MOVE EVER!! 5.) No consistent push rush from the defensive ends; note that Schobel typically gets coverage sacks he is not a dominating physical presences and he never will be one. Just watch his strong side run defense, he gets killed at the point of the attack. 6.) Can somebody explain why Lawyer Milloy makes $15 million? 7.) Have the Bills ever had free safety? Kelso and Kurt Schultz look like Ronnie Lott or Ron Woodson compared to Reese and Coy Wire; by the way the plug should be pulled on the Wire experiment this guy really sucks. 6-10, with the Cowboys enjoying a nice draft pick complements of Tom Donahoe! Come to think of it buddy, you really have not missed much at all! Don't out think yourself with the "vanilla" schemes comment!!!!

Quick release, I only remember the Travis Henry throw as being off. Maybe that timer thing is working. The O-Line was average to below average. But they need more reps, that is for sure. Our TE's are really extra O-Line men to make up for the line's below average ability. I agree with you about the DE's. They are average at best and dont dominate or strike fear in anyone. I always hated Kurt Shultz, he hit our guys more than the other teams WR's or RB's. Not sure what you mean by out think yourself on the vanilla comment. I was being nice to our defense and giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Great point "guest." As for Bledsoe, get a clue. Some of the other points like FS and maybe Evans have some merit, but that's about it.

Bill from NYC
Mark, or anyone, I dont know if you remember, but last year in pre-season, Hopkins beat up Schobel SO bad I had to turn away in disgust. Did Schobel at least hold his own this time?
