tbonehawaii
not the biggest issue confronting the bills but it seems weird that they didn't ever stick him in any of the preseson games. (unless i missed something)
DonInBuffalo
It's pretty obvious to even a casual observer that the Bills top 5 on the depth chart are Evans, Reed, Parrish, Hardy, and Jenkins. To bump one of those 5, or for them to consider carrying 6 WRs, someone would either need to outperform one of those top 4 enough to take playing time away from them, or be good enough on ST to take playing time away from someone else there. According to the Gamebooks at nfl.com, he was inactive for the first preseason game (implying he had some sort of injury) and played in the last two. His playing time might have been limited to ST coverage units. By releasing him now as opposed to next week, the Bills are doing him a big favor; giving him a much better chance to possibly land on another roster this season. I think they're keeping 6, and Stevie Johnson will stick.

Captain Hindsight
not the biggest issue confronting the bills but it seems weird that they didn't ever stick him in any of the preseson games. (unless i missed something) He was signed when a few guys were hurt bascially as a training camp body to keep the other guys fresh. At best he was a maybe down the line guy if we need a wideout
Sisyphean Bills
Maybe he didn't want to convert to DB.

Also, he did see some preseason action.
BuffaloBilliever
When Reed went down, the second and third teamers moved up, so when Matt Baker had one less person to throw to, tada, CJ Hawthorne. The guy was phenomenal in college, I hope he ends up with a team that'll be able to utilize him.
