Heat89 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 per rotoworld It would reportedly take a "miraculous recovery" for FS Ed Reed (shoulder) to be ready for Baltimore's season opener. Reed is a bit overrated, but the voice of Baltimore's secondary and a three time All Pro, so this helps Carson Palmer's matchup. Special teamer Jim Leonhard will start. Cincy's passing game should kick off with a bang.
jimmy griffin Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 here we go again with rotoworld...oh boy... and i though leonard joined the circus or became a rodeo midget. starting for an NFL team -- damn, balt must be desperate... per rotoworld It would reportedly take a "miraculous recovery" for FS Ed Reed (shoulder) to be ready for Baltimore's season opener. eball Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Always liked Leonhard, but I'm glad to say he's not talented enough to be on the Bills' roster these days.
Glass To The Arson Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Rotoworld is not a bad site.... its better than ESPN...
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Since I discovered RotoWOrld, I have stopped going to ESPN's site. Maybe if Mortenson resigns, then I'll go back
Lori Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Make that, per the Baltimore Sun: New Ravens jump right inWashington, Leonhard might be key to banged-up secondary By Ken Murray August 27, 2008 Jim Leonhard wanted the chance to play in Rex Ryan's defensive system. Fabian Washington wanted the chance to play anywhere other than Oakland. Together, they are starting over in the Ravens' secondary, perhaps just in the nick of time. In a daily battle against attrition this summer, Ryan, the Ravens' defensive coordinator, has yet to put his projected starting secondary on the field because of injuries. With the season opener just 11 days away, Leonhard and Washington could become key figures in any potential makeover. Leonhard spent three seasons with the Buffalo Bills as a solid special teams player and reserve safety who figured to fill the same role here. But when Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed showed up at camp with a shoulder injury, Leonhard's role kept growing. Unless Reed makes a miraculous recovery before Sept.7, it's likely Leonhard will start at free safety. I liked Leonhard's grittiness, and he made some plays while he was here ... but hard work only takes you so far.
BillsWatch Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Jim Leonhard is a good substitute on a strong defense but a weak one on a weak one so how well he does depends on rest of defense.
Steely Dan Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Aye Yi Yi. Things is desperate in that there Baltimore.
ans4e64 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I always liked Leonhard, I hope he does well over there in Baltimore. Good luck.
BuffaloBilliever Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Apparently, according to Madden 09, he had a skin pigment change. To those who haven't seen, he's the #1 FS Free Agent in the game, and he's black. Good for him, though, I liked the guy, hope he does well.

Leonard was decent in coverage and sometimes got some good picks but the Bills found better talent decent backup and special teamer but not an everyday starter

Chalkie Gerzowski Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Aye Yi Yi. Things is desperate in that there Baltimore. You should see attendance at Orioles games.
bizell Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 good for Jim Leonhard. I hope he does well, unless he has to play against Buffalo.
Sisyphean Bills Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 He's got the reverse of that Michael Jackson disease. Spending too much time in the tanning bed isn't good for you.
Ralonzo Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Leonhard is probably a stopgap at safety, but is getting a long look at punt catching. Zbikowski and Nakamura have supposedly been good for the Ravens... If either of them gets cut, I'm sure they'd be an improvement over Scott et al.
R. Rich Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Make that, per the Baltimore Sun: That ain't such a step up, Lori.
