nuklz2594 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Bell is relatively new to offensive blocking. Is he athletic enough to learn the center position? Can you imagine him at center with Butler, Peters, and Walker on the line? It could be something special.
Glass To The Arson Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Maybe we'll see the next Jason Peters tomorrow night... just not the lazy A$$ one

WellDressed Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Funny every time I'm glad someone else enjoys him. Kind of like brittish humor trapped in america= Refreshing.
Whites Bay Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I'm glad someone else enjoys him. Kind of like brittish humor trapped in america= Refreshing. I was thinking he was rather like gastric reflux. There for a moment, painful, monotonous, and then gone. Preferably for a long time.

JStranger76 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 He is even a lot weaker than Preston coming in as a rookie and Preston is just now starting to not look out of place. Bell will probably never hold up inside, but could be a jouneyman backup tackle with all the undersized ends these days. This guy is getting a little too much love around here IMO, although I agree he is a great story. Bell would get eaten alive should he have to see the field in a regular season game this year and probably even next year as well. I'll say he needs TWO offseasons to be NFL ready ( against starting caliber players).
Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I highly doubt it. He is raw at tackle as it is; making him a center would only work in Madden.
FluffHead Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Bell is to weak to play an interior line position at this point. His strengths seem to be his athleticism and ability to move his feet so I think it is better to try and develop him at tackle at this point.
Lurker Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Is he athletic enough to learn the center position? Sure. He'll be hell on wheels...on the Bills off-season basketball team. His 'bubble's' not big enough to play inside on the OL...

jimmy griffin Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 he is a force. raw. but he looked like a player. real nice balance and footwork. plays free and not afraid to mix it up. we shall see more tomorrow vs. detroit. but bell, on the surface, seems promising.

He will be a starter in two years or selling insurance.
