PromoTheRobot Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 has he still not shown up to Jaguars camp? is Parker his agent too? they must be pissed Harvey and his agent expect Derrick to be named to the Pro Bowl at least 5 times in his career, so they simply want to be paid accordingly now. C'mon Jags, pay the man...he's gotta eat. PTR
VOR Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Harvey and his agent expect Derrick to be named to the Pro Bowl at least 5 times in his career, so they simply want to be paid accordingly now. C'mon Jags, pay the man...he's gotta eat. PTR LOL! Harvey is hoping to avoid future holdouts by getting paid as the top DE in the NFL. He's just doing this for the benefit of the Jags.
SuperKillerRobots Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I really wanted this guy before the draft and was completely surprised that Jacksonville traded that much to move up for him. Now, I can't say that I'm very sorry we didn't take him. I can't stand when rookies holdout and he would only really help this year if he was in camp the entire time. Now he gets two rookie years (in JP time).
MiamiGeorge Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Stephen Jackson probably pushed Parker to Get it done, Peters needs to grow some balls and push his ass!
kota Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Harvey wants 1 million more in guaranteed money. that is the sticking point. I wish i could stop going to work and ask for a million dollars.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Harvey wants 1 million more in guaranteed money. that is the sticking point. I wish i could stop going to work and ask for a million dollars. You can.

MattyT Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 More Harvey... http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stor...322845338.shtml
buffaloboyinATL Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 apparently he has finally ended his hold out and agreed to terms. http://news.jacksonville.com/justin/2008/0...s-holdout-over/
DrDawkinstein Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 You shouldn't. why shouldnt i? its a bunch of whiny players, and the league is now run by scumbag agents. if it wasnt for the Buffalo Bills, i would have no interest in watching this league.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 apparently he has finally ended his hold out and agreed to terms. http://news.jacksonville.com/justin/2008/0...s-holdout-over/ Espn reporting the same http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...tory?id=3555360 Not sure what this means for Peters--probably nothing. As for Harvey, my guess is that the hold-out results in this being a completely wasted season for him.

As for Harvey, my guess is that the hold-out results in this being a completely wasted season for him. I do not think it will have any effect with Peters..to me it is comparing apples to oranges. As for Harvey, if he was a QB yes I agree...but a DE can adjust quicker IMO after missing camp
