In other words, if your behind a NAT router, is that all the protection you need? 97933[/snapback] Technically? No. Realisitically? Yes. NAT (Network Address Translation) will stop a bad guy from being able to directly connect to your PC. That isn't a true firewall, because a real firewall has the ability to block both incoming AND outgoing traffic. However, for most home users, it's good enough. You should still have AntiVirus software running (check out http://www.grisoft.com for free AV software that works). But it will protect you from most Internet threats. However, if you use wireless, it will NOT protect you from your neighbor being able to hop onto your network. CW
