Zona
I just watched the Steeler game again, and I noticed something interesting. We played a 4-4-3 on first down during the opening drive of the Steelers. Our 4 linebackers were ellison and mitchell outside, with Poz and Digiorgio inside. I wonder if we will see this more throughout the year, or if this was specific planning against the Steelers? I think teams like the Colts and Cheatriots will take advantage of the secondary in that scenario. I will watch and see if we do this against the Colts tomorrow night. We only did 3 or 4 times last week, all on first or second downs. Run downs basically...
Lori
Who did the Steelers have in the game? If they went "heavy," it makes sense. Colts don't normally use those formations -- they're far more likely to go three-wide, and the fullback rarely gets on the field.
Sisyphean Bills
Maybe they can play a 5-5-1 against the Patriots. Look! There goes a purple squirrel!
Simon
Was it a true 4-4 Stack with the 'backers "hiding" right behind the 4 DLinemen or were they shaded to the strong side?
