I wonder what Hoyt did to piss this guy off? As entertaining as this is I wonder if Illuzzi is breaking the law by threatening to publish more emails unless Hoyt quits his reelection campaign

If you do the history on Illuzzi you'll know that he's shady to put it mildly. I mean the guy served time for being a getaway driver in a bank heist. That said I've never been a fan of Sam Hoyt. Earlier this month one of his campaign workers came to my door, wouldn't leave really until I answered it, and seemed genuinely annoyed and surprised when I mentioned I wasn't supporting Sam when the neighbors all around me were. I always considered him to be something of an empty suit. I've never really met Hoyt though his kid goes to the same school as mine, I just know that I'm really not a big fan of his for positions he has taken on school construction among other things.

Exactly, another entrenched politico. My friend from the NYCLU was defending Hoyt at the bar yesterday, saying what a great guy Hoyt is and all the correct positions he holds and all I could think of was John Edwards.
