I mean the guy served time for being a getaway driver in a bank heist. That said I've never been a fan of Sam Hoyt. Earlier this month one of his campaign workers came to my door, wouldn't leave really until I answered it, and seemed genuinely annoyed and surprised when I mentioned I wasn't supporting Sam when the neighbors all around me were. I always considered him to be something of an empty suit. I've never really met Hoyt though his kid goes to the same school as mine, I just know that I'm really not a big fan of his for positions he has taken on school construction among other things.

My friend from the NYCLU was defending Hoyt at the bar yesterday, saying what a great guy Hoyt is and all the correct positions he holds and all I could think of was John Edwards.
