Pete Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Plaxico Wes Walker Roy Williams Cotchery Dwayne Bowe I pick 9th and really want Cotchery, but have a feeling he is gone. My backup pick is Bowe. Thoughts? My keepers are Adrian Peterson, Braylon Edwards, and Jason Witten. I think there is a ton of depth at RB and wish to load up at WR(we start 3 WR in our league), and put off RB for a couple rounds Quote
BuffOrange Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hot to go Burress & Williams I think. Honestly if you're targeting Cotchery/Bowe as your #3, Evans is in that same tier of WR's IMO and you should be able to get him if it's a non-homer draft since everyone is so down on him this year. I also like Calvin Johnson more than Williams this year because I think his "floor" is only slightly lower with a much higher ceiling; but Williams is going ahead of him in most drafts. Quote
Chilly Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 1.) Plax 2.) Welker 3.) Williams/Cotchery (tie) 5.) Bowe Quote
Ramius Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hahaha, you idiots draft WRs in fantasy football? The past few years i have only drafted DTs. I havent won a single game yet, but its a sure-fire way to win. [/AKC] Quote
Chilly Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I'm changing my list. #1 this year is WRamius. Quote
Pete Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 Roddy White, Lee Evans, Brandon Marshall are also available. I would like Cotchery as my #2- I think he is gonna blow up this year. People are down on Evans, I am hoping to steal him in the 6th round Quote
Chilly Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Are Calvin Johnson or Santonio Holmes available? I'd take either of them over Cotch. Quote
Pete Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 Are Calvin Johnson or Santonio Holmes available? I'd take either of them over Cotch. no they are not. Both of those guys are studs and long gone. The best available are the ones I listed. There is not that many reliable WRs for a 12 team league that starts 3- thats why I want to load up on WR instead of RB. Quote

Bowe needs to prove it over the long haul however. But if Brandon Marshall is available, i'd jump all over him. He had an outstanding year last season, and even though his he's been a dumbass this offseason, he's got high-end #1 WR potential. He's been and will be Cutler's favorite target for a long time in denver, and thats something none of the other guys on the list can offer. Quote
